Omg! I’ve watched so many soap making videos and you’re the only one that describe the smell. I always say to myself why they never talk about the scent. Thank you

I have missed seeing your videos. For some reason, your videos quit showing up on my timeline and an old video of you making the wipes popped back up and then I searched your channel and you’re still here and I’m so excited. I also have not made soap in quite a while because I had surgery on my hand and with it being in a cast, it just makes it too difficult so I’m trying to talk my husband into giving me, a helping hand so we will see. It’ll be fun catching up on your videos.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 ай бұрын
oh good Melinda! I'm glad you found my videos. I have heard of that happening to other people but it is hard to tell that it was happening to me too. I hope you are doing ok with your hand surgery! Hopefully you will be back at it soon. I can't imagine asking my husband to help LOL - as much as he supports me I don't know that he would pour soap batter 😆

Morning, Tammy! Lately, I've been able to find a High-Oleic Sunflower/Olive oil blend at Sam's that's a decent price. I swapped it out for the Olive. Works great! BTW, the last time I fell UP the stairs (a month ago), my husband had to come peel me off the front porch! I do it all the time. 😂😂😂
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique5 ай бұрын
morning Wendy! I may need to see if costco has something along those lines, I don't have a Sam's membership oh my - falling UP stairs is more common than I thought! 😂Hope you didn't hurt yourself too bad! 🤗

Misty Mountains would be a great name. It reminded me of a Scottish song Mountains of Mourne. Beautiful!!! Loved the intro. It helps us to relate to each other!! Did you happen to film at conference? Would love to attend one year. Thank you from one Tammy to another. ❤
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique5 ай бұрын
oh that is a wonderful name! I like it so much, shoot - I already labeled my soaps LOL I did not film this year at the conference. I was able to last year because I drove but this year I flew and was worried about my equipment One day maybe you can attend and maybe we will meet! Not that I am going to go every year. I think I need to stay back a year or two and replenish my funds LOL - it is pretty pricey 💕 Thanks for watching and for your comment Tammy!

I’ve been doing the high oleic sunflower. And I fall up the stairs all the time. 😂
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique5 ай бұрын
LOL - glad to not be alone but sorry you are also falling UP stairs haha I have some high oleic safflower I am using too, just whatever I have on hand in that regard and swapping 50% of my olive oil out. it helps a little, and we all need what little help we can get in that huh?
@MsAubrey5 ай бұрын
@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique I like the safflower too… and Soaper’s choice sometimes has safflower less expensive than sunflower and sometimes it’s the reverse. I suppose it’s just one of those things that depends on time of year (availability), supply and demand, and I’m sure other things I’m not thinking about.

Hi I’ve seen the hot method used but wonder as the lye temp is really high at time of using what affect it has on the Shea butter? Hope your recovery continues to go well Olive oil is scandalous over here too but it is my favourite liquid oil to use Falling up stairs yes done that flat on my face on concrete landing with consequence of fracture front of jaw losing two teeth week before Christmas several years ago. Scary and certainly knocks confidence. Have a nice day Tammy. Love the mold too
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique5 ай бұрын
oh my goodness! That fall sounds horrible and painful! goodness... 😫 I don't think the heat does too much to the shea in soap - the soap gets up to what, 180 degrees or so during saponification?? It certainly would be an issue with other products though, I am sure. 🤗💕

You make me less scared to try soap making! I bought a ton of stuff from a friend who was closng down her business from home and I have a cutter like yours that needs some wire replaced. I have read guitar wire works but I was wonderng if you happen to know what wire or thickness is best??
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique5 ай бұрын
how wonderful for you that you got to buy supplies that way - I wish you all the best in getting started. I believe all soap cutters use guitar wires (I could be wrong) - but I don't know the thickness they use. You might be able to search out soap cutter replacement wires on some shops that sell cutters and see if it states in the description...🤔
