I got the same gimbal and love it. I dont use any of the mounting brackets and just screw the back of the gimbal into my stuntman. Seems to work great. It also gets it nice and close to your chest.

I really like the follow mode as it is a mid point between the full gimbal and the chest mount as it gives a more realistic point of view and allowing us more depth in the footage

My 1st gimbal was a Feiyu tech. The previous gen. I liked the panning and mounting better than the Evo SS, but it broke after 4 rides, and no crashes. I ended up getting an Evo. This new Feiyu looks like it might be more reliable. The fixed battery makes me nervous, but I'm digging the new features

I have a lil bit of motion sickness with the follow mode footage eventhought im fine with your gimbal-less footage,but the follow mode footage shows better terrain contour which is nice... Keep experimenting with your video man...

I've been using this gimbal for awhile. Excellent gimbal. Long lasting battery. When you crash, has breakaway screws, easily replaced; can buy at hobbies store.

I kinda like the follow mode because it gives your video that chest mounted feeling, but because we are talking gimbals, it's way better with the normal setting. I'm assuming you cant use this with the sony action cameras like the x3000? cause if so that's a bummer. Also, this definitely seems shakier than your previous gimbal that you crashed with at whistler, but it's still really good. Thanks for the video :)

Would it be possible to use the external mic adapter with the hero 6 and this gimbal? Or would having the hero 6, the mic adapter, and mic be too much weight?

Well I think it could be doable, but with that extra weight I would just put some coins on the side like I do with my other gimbal

Hey Jordan, I just stumbled across your video while researching gimbals. I was intigued by the awesome sound quality in this video until I saw the sequence at about 8:05 ... you use the overlay info "original audio" which indicates to me, that's how the Hero6 sounds on the gimbal. But how did you record the awesome audio for the rest of the video? Great riding btw!

Great review Jordon. Good and honest. My concern was the audio which you showed at the end. Do you think you can add the senheiser mk2 mic to the hero 5 or 6 on the gimbal and it would still work? Is it even compatible? Or is there another way of using just one camera?Maybe a future vid? I’m still not a fan of the duel recording. But needs must. Cheers. 👍

What audio setup did you have when you did the comparison? With the Hero 6 what audio settings are you using (wind only, stereo only, auto, protune etc?). I've got the same gimbal. Love it and I'd love to use the Hero 6 with it (better colours) however I can't stand the wind noise so I'm still using a Hero 4 with a dead cat.

Hey Jordan I was looking into this WG2 after my gimbal had some issues with sweat causing it to glitch. I had seen others have issues with it losing horizon on big G-outs, did you experience anything like that during testing? Solid review.

I love your reviews man. They're as good as any out there. I am encouraged by the Rylo's ability to stabilize footage in 360* mode. Their new 180* mode doesn't stabilize nearly as well, which is a bummer. Add to that, it has bad audio, poor low light capabiliies, and no PC software...and it isn't the answer...yet. It's starting to get frustrating that the best setup is arguably still the Hero 4 black with dead cat, and an EVO SS or Zyhun Ryder gimbal, because relatively speaking...that's old technology! GoPro and others continue to release products that literally seem to purposefully NOT do the things that people are requesting. It's unreal that they can release the 5 AND 6, and both have audio that is abysmal. I guess Garmin is trying, and so is Sony, but man...you would think a company could get it right by now! I'm ready for a company to release a camera that obsoletes gimbals. You would THINK that Rylo can get pretty close with some modest improvements to their next release. I guess we'll see. I've given up all faith in GoPro...they don't see to care. UGHHH!!!

Great Review Jordan, it matches my experience with the Wg2 with all the pros and cons. But try to mount it flat (led up) direct to the harness, it is very compact like that. But the risk of breaking it is alot bigger without a adapter. Mine got ripped apart because of this. And another thing is it could react faster in tight fast corners. Even my new gimbal is faster and stabilizes better i think the wg2 is a great deal for 140€. cheers

So close to the perfect gimbal. If you could balance both motors (slide arm left to right and camera forward and back like the Lanparte LDA3) add back in the removable battery, and give better turning options in app I would THROW my money at the screen. *Are you listening Feiyu Tech?*

I bought a feiyu tech wg2 and wasn't happy with how it mounted on a gopro chesty as it was too unstable. Have you heard of a stuntman chest harness. Bought one and it's solved the mounting issue. Comes with a direct mount for the gimbal so it sits flat against the chest plate

dude i am so glad you did this video. i killed my rider m and this is next on my radar. i think im going to go ahead and shoot for this one. im sold on the waterproofing because i sweat so much when i ride and it comes with a session mount. that is just awesome. im down south in dallas texas and believe it or not we have a few free ride/ down hill trails. might see you at a park park one of these days.

Jordan Boostmaster Would you recommend this over the ZhiYun Rider m? Or vice versa? I have been looking into the rider m and I cannot find any videos where it doesn’t occasionally glitch for a second by shaking or turning, then fixing itself. Would you still recommend the rider m even considering the occasional glitches?

I recommend the Rider M over this actually, just because of the quality of stabilization and everything. I don't really have these occational glitches, I find the WG2 is the one that has those glitches, though not too noticeable. I am using the Rider M in all my videos, even the new ones here. Do you see it glitching out on mine? It may just be the camera hitting against the gimbal as I turn and stuff.
