Trying New Makeup - Hermès, Rare Beauty, Tarte, & Queen Musia

The packaging on those Queen Musia lipsticks are so beautiful 😍 I kinda get a mermaids vanity vibe with the mint green packaging like a mermaid would have it on her vanity, I have no idea why but definitely the vibes I'm getting from the packaging. Luxury lipstick has definitely become my vice and I've found I've gravitated towards orange shades after wearing Velvet Mourning LE so much. I ordered Agatha orange by gucci in their satin formula and I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

@@pastelinvader9872 ooh, I really like the Gucci formula. I LOVE Velvet Morning. It's such a bright, punchy color! It makes me happy every time I put it on. Yes, the queen musia lipstick packaging is so pretty and interesting. I get where you're coming from with the mermaid vibes. 😉

I went mad and bought an eyeshadow by Chantecaille; it's this green color with a tiger on the cover and it's one of the best eyeshadows I have ever used.

Ooh, I'm so intrigued by Chantecaille. I've been wanting to get some of the singles, but at the $54 price point for one shadow, I'm not sure. I haven't heard amazing things about the palettes, but everyone seems to love the singles with the animals on the front!

The Louboutin foundation is FANTASTIC! It can do no wrong. You'd want shade 10C I think. The neutrals in Louboutin are VERY orange. The tarte powder is superb. I liked the pink powder so much I ordered the lavender one as well, I had to get it shipped form the US website to the UK. THAT'S how much I like it

Ooh, I ordered 10N. The swatch looked fairly close to what I normally use. I'm bummed that it runs warm. Uhh. I'm going to see if I can exchange the tarte powder for the lavender shade. Your eye-shadow look is gorgeous. I have had this Hermes palette since it came out and it is a favorite of mine. I have been using the colors a bit differently but I am going to try applying them the same way you did. I already have a refill ready for when I use it up.

Thanks for sharing ❤ always fun seeing others try new make up. I don’t know if I will ever try a new “ luxury brand”. Mainly because so many of them put fragrance in their products. I just have too many allergies to take the chance. In all my years, I have never found a concealer that worked the way I thought it should. They always seem to be too thick , too thin, it creases, sinks into my fine lines…. I use the NARS light reflecting under eye brighter, and then set it was either my Laura Mercier, setting powder or my Huda beauty cherry blossom loose powder which somehow seems to have a light enough scent that it doesn’t irritate my allergies.

You're right, so many of the luxe brands include scent in makeup. I don't understand that, but . . . I find that the new Danessa Myricks concealer doesn't settle into my lines, and doesn't smell. Next time you're in Sephora, check it out. It might be what you're looking for. It's medium coverage and flexible so it stay where you put it, but moves with facial expressions. I really like it. I do have more high coverage favorites, but they all tend to be a bit thicker and need to be set.

You are really dipping into some full on luxury makeup now. 😊 The eyelook loves lovely. I'm loving the florasis lavender loose powder. I use their primer & compact foundation too. They look flawless & last well on my combo fair rosacea prone complection. 😄

I've been curious about florasis, but just haven't tried anything from them yet. The packaging and pan embossing is so striking, but I wasn't sure how the products themselves worked. It's good to hear a positive review from a non-influencer. Thanks!

That eyeshadow quad looks beautiful on you! I’ve heard lots of great things about their bronzer, too. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it yet already, but for the bougiest of lipsticks, the Dries Van Noten is so, so good. I got the shade Favorite Red in the *satin* formula and it’s the most beautiful thing in my collection. It’s a good thing that I’m not tempted by any of their other colors 💸 but their reds are lovely. I know you love a good red!

Ty..love luxury but the Hermes Eyeshadow-looks great on you but not calling me (I'm not a huge shadow user so really has to be special aka L'ouvre/Lancome Collab a few years ago)and at $108- easy to pass!😅 I can't wait to see the Guerlain Foundation....maybe after your review! I can't wait until the Louboutin foundation arrives. I hope I ordered the correct shade this time. I've got my fingers crossed. I've heard great reviews from other people with combo skin. I hope it works well for my mature skin. I expect it will since most luxury brands know that their audience is older. (more expendable income) The Rare Beauty powder is lovely. I'm not sure about the Tarte. It might go back all together.

I LOVE the packaging color and shape. It's so fun! I also like the way it feels and wears. Don't over purchase lippies. They don't have that long of a shelf life. : )

I still love the La Mer foundation, thought it doesn't have the longest wear on me. It looks so beautiful on the skin. I've almost panned the Gucci bronzer also! I'm not super interested in any of the hermes, prada etc stuff.

I'm still trying Hermes and Prada because there's lots of stuff from the brand that I haven't tried yet. I LOVE the Gucci Bronzer. It's such a beautiful formula and I love the packaging. I haven't tried any La Mer. The price is so intimidating.

I love luxury make up but I didn’t t try the Hermes eyeshadows But this palette is calling my name… maybe in automn. In summer I prefer cream eyeshadows like the Armani eye tint or the Lisa Eldridge ones. I m a bit lazy in summer 😊 merci

I'm pretty lazy in summer too. There are days that I won't wear any eye makeup. Just brows, cheeks and lips. I LOVE the Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex. I have so many of them, and they're perfect for a one and done look. This Hermes quad is lovely.

The Dior is so lovely. I hadn't tried anything from Queen Musia, and was excited to try this brand. It's really a lovely formula, I just wish there were more shades. (and some that weren't as warm)

Do you ever return the items that don’t work for you? Or exchange them for the one you like. Example:The Clarins Lip Balm that you don’t like the color. I am curious. Thanks for your videos. They always brighten my day.

I do exchange or return things that don't work when I remember. I'm not sure that I'll exchange the Clarins lip oil, and the cost of shipping to return and get another one would out weigh what it's worth. I picked it up from the Clarin's website. If it was a store return, I do that quite often. I'll exchange for a better color, or different product entirely. Thanks so much for making the time to watch my channel. I really appreciate it.

My favorite pink powder is the Givenchy Prisme Libre in Voile Rose. After that, it's the one from elf. Funny that I love a $65 powder and a $10 one. I might have to switch out this shade of tarte powder for the lavender. Thanks for watching!

Tarababyz also mentioned that the Tarte powder darkened over her concealer. 🫤 I’ve been a click away from ordering a couple of Hermes powder blushes, they look stunning. I’m finding myself really enjoying luxury beauty as well! Over the past few years I’ve been dabbling quite a bit. I don’t have a favorite brand where all my bases are covered. I like certain brands for specific products and categories.

Yes, I'm not as brand loyal as I used to be. Lisa Eldridge is the closest I get, and I love most of what she makes. I'm not a huge fan of the gloss or the liquid lips, but for what they are, they're good products. They just don't get reached for much in my collection. I've been eyeing more from Hermes. Bronzer, Blush, more lipstick . . . Even the highlight and the powder. I'm so curious.
