Trying New Things At Anna Maria Island! | French Bakery, Beach House Dinner & Exploring Local Shops!

In today's vlog we try new restaurants around the island and we had really great meals at all of them! We also finally got to explore the local shops while it was raining. We found some really fun stuff and we'll show you more in tomorrow's vid. Then we end the vlog with the last sunset of the trip, it was a wonderful way to end such an amazing vacation! Thank you internet! Flotsam and jetsam are terms that describe two types of marine debris associated with vessels. Flotsam is defined as debris in the water that was not deliberately thrown overboard, often as a result from a shipwreck or accident. Jetsam describes debris that was deliberately thrown overboard by a crew of a ship in distress, most often to lighten the ship's load. The word flotsam derives from the French word floter, to float. Jetsam is a shortened word for jettison.

We had a rental property on AMI for 16 years but sold it last year. I love seeing “our” island through your eyes. It’s a very special place. And here’s a tip: a good rainy day activity is visiting the hand carved circus at the Ringling Museum. I think Jackson would love it.

Love love love AMI we used to go for the whole of December as a family. Took my husband for our honeymoon and stayed on the island. Island life is just so chill, love the rod and reel pier, I used to go fishing there and the blackened chicken sandwich and the onion rings are BEAUT. You can also see the sunshine skyway from there.

The week you guys were there, my family & I were at Margaritaville in Hollywood Beach & watching thirst videos makes me wish I woulda spent more time on the actual beach. I concur! We were walking in Florida years ago. Pushing my daughter in her wheelchair. Just out for a walk. A cab stopped and said ‘do you need a ride? No charge. I’ll take you wherever you need to go’. How kind was that! We told him we were out for a walk and some excersize. He laughed and said ‘man you British are mad’ 😂. We thanked him and carried on walking. The pavement ran out and we had to walk on the road. 😕. Guess he knew what we didn’t!

Great vlog! Lovely shops, and breakfast looked delicious. I really wish in the UK that our takeaway shops weren't so far behind. They are all so unhealthy. Like ofc pizza is unhealthy but you add the lovely side salad and it becomes moderately healthy. Like they do salad in UK but its no where near the salads you got there and they have zero choice it's so big standard. To be honest across the board the UK really needs to pick up on side salads and stuff. We've just been to. FLORIDA and almost every meal we got offered lovely fresh soup or salad sides with our mains. It just doesn't happen in the UK. Rant over lol

I am amazed that the Gulf is so choppy. My experiences with the Gulf have always been “flat line”. I found it usually very boring. I always preferred ocean side. The Brits are hard-core seasiders even moreso than the Canadians. Weather does not phase them. I wish i was like that.
