Traditional Odia food has that kind of rice because of the heat. Bhubaneswar is 40°+ even in 1st or 2nd week of January. I went in that time from Delhi one... Had to buy new T-shirts in the evening. 😅

Our state - Odisha, and Odiya cuisine is criminally underrated in whole of India. No one knows anything about Odisha and it's food. So thank you for exploring it so that people of all over India could see and get to know something. Odia food is soul food, we have the best food for this scorching summer season.

This is our culture, which is still practiced in Odisha. Whenever I visited Odisha I could feel the cultural components are rooted in them, but unfortunately in West Bengal we are forgetting it, the cause is so known, how our culture especially based on our religion is being destroyed. I'm a bengalee and we've same foods in our culture with some different names and with more or less ingredients. I've visited Puri with my parents in 2009 as a teen. I loveeed the place, but can't remember all the things. I so wanna go there again and try different recipes. I lost my father a year ago, It's making my heart heavy remembering the moments we spent together there in Puri. But I'll definitely take my mother once again to have Jagannath Darshan ❤ Loved the video 🌸💕

Bengali language is derived from Sanskrit bro.. It's all Sanskrit and general Bengali Dialect which every educated citizens uses is none other than shuddh hindi, which even the people who speak Hindi aren't carrying correctly! And Bengali may have some words common with odia but not "from" 😂 Rather odia language have some similar words from bengali and hindi. Don't just google. Read literature in language. There has been given the clear idea of how languages has been derived from civilization and how it's used in the ancient manuscripts.
I also have so many friends from odisa and they are all sweet and very humble in behaviour...❤ Thanks urban guide for showing us locak things...💯
