Justin Stoll+ Halo 2 Anniversary Single player and Multiplayer from the MCC use different two game engines, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy also do, Doom 3 Vanilla PC Multiplayer, it's actually a common practice to use separate game engines, probably more efficient.

@@liberatorkramit Yes and no, many times with game companies, they make FPS games with separate game engines, I always assumed it was done to prevent bugs from carrying over SP and MP and vice versa, which is likely the case, but when Raven Software developed Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, they made 2 versions for SP and MP with similar but different modifications of the same game engine using Quake 3 Arena as a base, Doom 2016 is an example of two companies making SP and MP with ID Tech 6, similar but still different versions, none of this is new, Splash Damage(who helped port Halo MCC to PC) actually helped make the multiplayer portion for Doom 3 PC Vanilla way back in 2004, both are separate, what I noticed with the MP portion of Crossfire X is that it seems very, very rushed, where Remedy took the time to make a decent SP campaign, Smilegate's version of the MP just seems so rushed by comparison and it's sad, because usually the 2 separate versions for SP and MP idea in practice usually works really well, you can just see which company did better development wise than the other and sucks.

also that zombie mode is kinda weird even in the original, since there's this camping spot for the survivors. all the zombie have to do to win is drain their bullet which is not fun. it's not that didn't play test it. it's just bizzare design decisions even in the original.

The fun : If you get 1000 damage, then you get 1 Kill, at least it count kill rather than CSO Nexon Not fun : - Hero got advance gun, even dual handgun could kill mutant/zombie - If you became mutant and got head shot, you could revive on next round only

i played the original and the decision to NOT implement knockback and make it unlimited respawn when the guns are not up to the task is just baffling, they should have keep the knockback and you PERMANENTLY die until next round like the original and counter strike zombie mods keep in mind the beta was two years ago and the lost ark devs made this game

Many of the assets from the original Crossfire were ripped straight from Counter-Strike 1.6 (which did the same thing with the charging handle) and from fanmade skins on FPSbanana. This is probably the result.

Plus, the price is ok considering I don't subscribe to literally anything else, and KZbin is my main entertainment platform besides my PC. For anyone not knowing, this is the "console" of the original f2p crossfire game. I remember grinding my ass off on the dated version back in junior high. also it was incredibly predatory since it's a f2p shooter like, there's a lootbox system called gacha balls where you can get guns permanently. the only fair game mode in this game is the fun ghost mode. god i love playing that mode

Im sure theres no doubt that the game has it's issues, but I feel like some of the game's mechanics are intentional considering its meant to imitate counter strike in a way. For example in CS your accuracy is meant to be hindered while you're moving around, it isn't trying to be call of duty. The idea is to stop/crouch and line up your crosshairs instead of wildly firing everywhere and running/jumping all over the place. You're meant to be more deliberate with your actions. It seems like classic is meant to be like a hard csgo mode

Wow, this whole thing is a mess but that "Nano" infection mode, yikes. I've rarely seen a mode so fundamentally broken with bafflingly stupid design / balancing. The melee attacking infected are held back by awful platforming controls so they offset it by making them bullet sponges. The non-infected only have to be hit once to be infected plus they have a paltry amount of ammo. Either this was tested and they were too incompetent to see how broken it is, or they never tested it and shipped it anyway. I don't know what's worse.

Actually brought back my childhood when Joe plays the classic modes - used to play countless hours of CrossFire back then given I was living in Asia and craving for a free-to-play MMO shooter. Even with that I just hate the fact that they made this _completely_ Xbox exclusive. As someone who had been playing the game for years, I'd say this game was never meant to be played with a controller.

For anyone out their crossfire was a really good game it put counter strike to shame even though it was a shameless ripoff. Crossfire x is just a petty cashgrab and you'd be better off trying crossfire west if you can get into a server. Edit: regarding the Spector mode Mission Against Terror (MAT) had it but you could use smoke, water balloons, spray paint, and paintball/goo guns to help you find the ghosts.

The OG actually is free so it break down alot of entry barrier but it is one of the most platen P2W games u can see. It popular in asia cuz everyone can play it n by everyone i mean whales n children who never touched a games like old school cod or halo n games that are free like csgo or tf2 required too much skills for the average Zhong. People who leave n play other good games got distance from their peers (im in the latter) so they decided to be silence n dun talk then to called it out. It has one of the worst microtransaction that only need a phone card so everyone n i do mean EVERYONE, the primary school student with their lunch money can buy microtransaction cuz it is impossible for the parent to notice. The game just getting worse n worse but the player-base dunno cuz either they are too poor to afford a nice game or they spent all freaking money buy their microtransaction pay 2 win crap. I played for like 2 days n that about my limit, all of u thought EA, Acti were bad wait until u see the OG system. It got all the worst of gaming have to offer like loot boxes, pay 2 win, login daily to create a pattern of addiction, game as a service, make a placebo effect by buy more get more n so many other. If any person told me that a Cross Payer sequel is being make i would laugh hard at them n when they say the Dev of Control (one of my favorite games) gonna help making it, I would lost my lungs laughing. But i guess modern gaming is here so f*** me. When i check on the review n yup still old pal, still like Valve, they don't change one bit but now it's a paid game so at least they do one thing right to not let the children pay for this crap.
