I actually prefer the longer videos - you can see the progression of the prints. I always disliked it when the creator would cut away and come back with a finished print - like magic - and you never get to see how things come together. Always a joy to see you!

Hi Fulton, as far as I’m concerned, the length of your videos are never too long. You teach us as well as take us on a journey through your experimentation. All these prints had much to relish as it explained the mind. The metallic effect is becoming a favorite of mine. Yes the last print was outstanding Fulton, and I love the idea of using the tissue paper. Sending blessings and much appreciate.💕🙏🏻

I usually store my paint tubes and bottles standing on their caps after a vigorous tap to let gravity do its work. I use smaller boxes so they hold each other up. I also use a tube squeezer. Both help keep the paint easier to deliver to the plate a little longer before I have to cut the tube open. So appreciate your generosity in sharing so much with us!

Hello Fulton, there is no denying, you do excel in this very mid-century style flair. Don’t get me wrong. All of your art is awesome but i have a soft spot for this particular kind of 50’s/60’s art rendering. You’ve inspired so much and i would love to show you what i made of it. Evy from 🇨🇦

I had to check on Google, pareidolia is the thing of seeing forms in abstract shapes and it really is a reason to keep making abstract work I think. Letting the viewer find the meaning in them, and as makers being channels of possibility. Lovely results again with your colour choices. A Paul Klee vibe to three i thought.

I tried using a rubbery spatula from the dollar store and it worked pretty good. I was thinking of Monet's water garden with the reflections and the rippling water. I had the good fortune to visit Monet's house and garden when I went to France years ago. It made a huge impression (no pun intended) on me.

Thanks Fulton for generously sharing your knowledge in creating such inspirational artworks. I’m in Australia and finally been able to track down a 20x16 gelli pad, as I’ve been using a 14x12 for the past 6 months but finding it difficult to find reasonable quality budget frames to take this particular size. This which leads to my question, I understand that you sell many of your prints unframed however I was wondering how you go about framing the 20x 16 prints if in fact you do. I am capable of making my own frames but prefer to spend that time printing so just curious what you do and checking if you have possibly made a video on framing. Kind Regards Grahame✌🏾

Thank you for such clear instructions. I am inspired by the use of tissue paper in your work. I want to use this technique to trace and transfer images of some of my old sketches and incorporate them onto the dry sheet of color. Very happy to see how to do this as an image transfer. I also want ask about useing oil to clean the geliplate. Would that cause a problem if i use a final coat of varnish or Epoxy Resin ? Wishing you lots more success in your future

Hi Fulton, thank you so much for always answering my questions. I am very disappointed when I watch an artist religiously but they cannot be bothered to answer my questions. I do have a few more questions that perhaps you can answer here, or perhaps you have a video that go I to detail on the subject. I would very much like to j ow the differences in paper. On the store shelves I have seen Bristol, watercolor, mixed media, cold pressed, etc. I don’t understand what makes each paper different or better for gel printing. I have only been playing around with the gel print for a short time, but I want to get better at it and know more about it. Currently I am using rice paper, copy paper, and I have purchased some watercolor but have not yet had the nerve to use it. I am only 1.39 I to the video, so I may have more questions at the end.

Think of art this way, you can serve it up on fine porcelain, or in a paper plate. There is nothing wrong with either, just a matter of budget and taste. 😸

Hi fantastic series today. So do you like this paper better than the heavier weight 300lb paper?? Thank you.
@artwhisperer88
@artwhisperer88 5 ай бұрын
I like medium thickness, about 100 lb. I have to factor in cost per sheet as well. 300 lb is too thick for my tastes, but if you like it, by all means stick with it.
