Love Tony’s stuff and made this too. It was a fun build. I added holes in the center strip and it works good but those grommets are such a better idea. So glad you made this video, it’s great to get different perspectives. Thank you!

Great project. I think the only thing I would change is to add a really light lining fabric to the inside to make it a little more comfortable.

Yeah its surprising comfortable just bare leather. Even better with the bandana between.

I actually am an active member of his group for over a year. Tony designs his stuff for customization. So you get a basic pattern and can do what you want. When it comes to his customers, he gets paid a lot for his work and does more than what is on his websites. I've been trying to get "make supply" to check out DieselPunk-ro so he could learn not to use a sewing chisel tool on stone and different video techniques. But he ignored all of my posts. Lolol. Glad to see he found him anyway.

Goat Skin Leather is super soft and Great for Masks. I like your Idea for the Grommets. You can also make it a little better on the inside by gluing a bandanna to the leather before you cut it.

Hey friend, I made this one and it came out great. I put many holes down the center strip, but I need to put more on the sides. When I wear it my glasses get fogged up..bugs hell out of me. I really enjoy DieselPunk.Ro. I'd sure like to see you work it out with him to make templates for him. Especially on some of the bag patterns that I've purchased from him. Maybe you should reach out to him. I've only seen a wallet pattern in acrylic and I bought it. It would be a great match if he had you here in the States making templates for him...and you too pal....later

This is very cool. Do you think it would be hard to modify the design to have a flexible metal band hidden in the top to make it conform to the face better? I was thinking if it's thinner leather it could fold over.

I found an awesome brass one which is much better than the black burnisher that he was using...& it's super cheap too! You can also attach it to a soldering iron to heat it up & use it on you leather in a 100 different ways :) - Ebay - www.ebay.ca/itm/313559603229?var=612385456851
