Hi Gordon . To de-rust I use a 75% to 25% mix of muriatic acid and water . It dissolves rust fast . Just do it in open air or well ventilated area and rinse with plain water . 👍👍👍👍👍

Ospho cote from ace hardware. Then Rust-Oleum hammer paint the following day

You could try a plastic tub, like a child's swimming pool (cheap), or a heavier, more durable rubber tub from a home supply place, and do the cleaning in those, then you can pour the water/sand mixture into a strainer to re-collect the media. I always used the free-standing (dry) sandblast units so the sand remains contained. Always got a lot of static shocks though, hahaha.

I almost bought one a couple years ago but read that they wore out tips really quick and never pulled the trigger on it!

It came with a couple extra new tips, I don't think they would be costly if I can find them. I didn't see any wear on it yet.

@@57bagre Some of the things I read said people were using the blaster with a pressure washer that was larger than what it was spec'd for but who knows!
