Pufak is so light, you could eat several bags in one sitting no problem😂 As for the last sweet you tasted, we usually eat it with pita bread which makes it a lot less intense. I personally love to make a sandwich out of it. Zara definitely did a great job showcasing traditional Kuwaiti foods!

The puffy snack we love also to sprinkle tabasco with it the chilli one is new but adding hot sauce is better, the rolled crepe is dry so usually we dunk it with tea or hot milk or karak,

Bufak/Pufak is actually old in the Gulf region. Iran adopted its production (in Shiraz) in the early 20th century as a modernist food and it quickly spread to the other Gulf states (they got the idea from British India). So it is correct that this is an old food in Kuwait, relative to the age of the food itself. The Gulf region is probably the third oldest adopter of cheese puffs in the world, after the US and the British Empire. Edit: Excuse me, I misread your comment. I thought you said the classic puffy snack is new.
