It is SO satisfying to watch you paint over the full cover tips. I prefer short nails but I am so picky about having a perfect layer/evenness, so I am gonna try to use the full cover tips and just cut them down. I had a lot of trouble filing down the cuticle tho 😣

Thank you so much for this video. This is the most thorough tutorial I have seen on this method, I really appreciate you explaining the different types of gels that come with gel-x kits. Then fact thatnyou included the removal process and stating how long the nails lasted was the icing on the cake. I am more confident now to try this method with full nail covers and press on nails.

I was going to do acrylic nails using tips but your suggestion to do what back in the days I use press on nails with crazy glue as a quick alternative this is so much better., this option is one I find is much quicker and easier. I have a question about technique. When you are applying the top coat, I see you used the cleanup brush. Do you dip it in acetone first, wipe off excess, clean, then dip and clean the brush with acetone? Not sure of the steps to take to 1. clean around my cuticles any excess polish and 2. keep the brush clean for future uses.

My go to are the peel off and apply nail art that take minutes to apply and file the edges to one’s own nail. And a lot like your technique, the way I get 3 weeks out of my manicure is with an excellent prep first!

i’m familiar with that nail glue and it does take a bit longer when I used it it kinda came off in one piece so that was a plus to removing it it’s perfect for people with flat nail beds like myself

Because i hate the amount of time it takes i file through all of the layers, i experimented with the paint on gel remover…it actually works with the solid gel glue as well…just a little “tip” 🤭

it also doesn’t hurt your natural nails and doesn’t dry them out as much as acetone

I recently got the Makartt solid nail glue gel (the kind that you can roll into a ball and doesn't stick to your hands) and i absolutely LOVE IT! So super easy for applying full cover tips! I always struggled with the regular nail glue gel because of how runny it was. They always ended up crooked, with bubbles, or the glue squished out around my cuticle.

Love this!!!! I developed a ton of chemical allergies (including perfume and hair dye) and I can no longer use gel or acrylic. But this brings me back!!!! You are always so talented and I still love watching even if I can’t use (please no one recommend HEMA free gels. It’s an allergy to the photo imitators themselves)

On your video you mentioned that you can use a stronger gel to make ur nails last longer. I personally hate rubber gel as the tip moves all over the show especially when flash curing. before you applied and after you used the dehydrator etc.. you said you put down a gel base coat right? this is all new to me and im just now incorporating the dehydrator and primer but don't believe I have the right thing ti do a base coat like you did before the glue and nail.. can I use gaoy as the gel base coat before the glue and tip? Thank you for this video! Question, does this only work for clear tips like the ones you used? Been having trouble with pre-colored press ons. The gel doesn’t “automatically” stay. I have to press it a little while under the uv light.

yes, you should only use clear tips for this type of application. the light can’t properly penetrate colored tips which may result in uncured gel which can lead to a gel allergy. only use press on nail glue for colored tips, hope that helps.
