Hi, thanks for the response from another video. I am really enjoying your videos. How does the cut quality of the Toro Greensmater compare to the MEY? Two very different machines and perhaps different applications?
@theaussielawn2 жыл бұрын
Definitely different applications. The MEY would be more at home on tennis courts and cricket wickets bowling greens etc where as the Greensmaster is built for mowing golf greens etc

Jason looks ready to start off a channel of his own soon. 😀 Great machines both and just have such a quality feel to them.
@theaussielawn2 жыл бұрын
Yeah he should 😎 def agree they are well built and cut very well

The model number on the MEY should show that it has the split roller eg 20 TC SBP. When that gets sold you can immediately tell what it is and what you get. The previous company put that identification on the tag but I don’t see it on this mower?

I’m not sure mate but makes sense what your saying

Ive got a John deere 22 greens mower love it .Had it now for 10 years bought it for a grand second hand from a toro dealer also has the built in groomer its extremely well built and made to last .But had to cut off the transport wheel shafts to get it through the back gate lol
@theaussielawn2 жыл бұрын
I have the greensmaster 1000 it’s a great machine too, mine also has the groomer. Are you sure you couldn’t just unwind the wheel shafts the toro ones just unscrew
@whatsdergo2 жыл бұрын
@@theaussielawn From memory the shafts are bolted to the rear rollers then go through the chassis and machined down on the ends for the transport wheels so one piece ,the shafts can be welded back on if i ever sold it

Here in Australia they are generally refered to as a cylinder mower not a reel mower.

How are you guys going getting parts I just found out MEY went out of business in 2014 and Specialised Mower Parts in Palmyra, WA is the only place to buy parts here in WA according to a mowing blog

Hey mate pretty sure it’s changed hands from memory there is current info on their website

I have followed you for a few years now and your content is absolutely fantastic. Just 1 question how much time do you actually spend using, practicing your putting compared to the amount of time you spend maintaining the green. I fully understand the passion, commitment it takes to do what you do but then there’s a living to make and then golf putting practice as well. Keep sharing the great content, from a very jealous time restricted golfer, husband🤣😁🙏✌️🤘⛳️

Bahaha don’t hate me BUT I actually don’t love golf . 9 holes does me just fine in a social setting I have the green to keep my trade skills sharp and do it for the love of grass.

First option should be to replace the garbage briggs and stratton motor to a Honda motor.

hey Brenton im trying to work out how many grams of urea to put in my backpack sprayer on 100 squares of tif tuff. What would you recommend?
@theaussielawn2 жыл бұрын
I don’t recommend using urea on tiftuf especially this time of year mate

I’ve gotta confess I love nothing more than sneaky reel mow on my green in bare feet 🦶. However with Rotary mowers I always wear correct footwear. I do understand the point you are making though.

I used a MEY cylinder mower to hand mow tee tops.at Macarthur Grange. Heavy bastard, but a great machine and did a great job. Your lawns are looking fantastic mate. A that bloody dog is getting big.
@theaussielawn2 жыл бұрын
Yeah the MEY was very impressive. I’m gunna be curious to see how much colour that tiftuf holds over winter and how fast it comes back in spring. Max is gunna be huge he grows my the minute haha
