Welcome back to the Atlanta Food Tour. Today we tried The Busy Bee Cafe because you guys recommended it!
I loved everything about this place! The Customer Service was great, the people were nice and the food was fire!

These are the prices people are willing to pay for quality. Definitely pricey for soul food but if you can't afford it then i'm sure there are cheaper spots in Atlanta.

I went to Busy Bee every week when I was pregnant in grad school. The last time I was there was just before the pandemic and they still remember my son and ask about him. He just turn 24. Hey Sheila and Jackie👋🏾. They still remembered my order: fried chicken white meat, mac & cheese , collard greens, sweet tea and peach cobbler. ❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾

I'm sorry, but with all due respect she didn't seem to know much about Atlanta...she didn't tell him that he was basically surrounded by the AU center, on what was once Hunter St....up the street a little ways north, there is Morris Brown College, and slightly east of where they are now would be Clark, Morehouse and Spellman Colleges...also the Busy Bee was a gathering spot for Civil rights activities back in the day...Dr. King ate there at times.

That chicken looked perfect! You need to start a yam green combo, u missing out! The mac didnt look to appealing to me! Sweet potato pie was glistening! Im burnt out from banana pudding! Banana pudding, and watermelon was my dads two favorite foods! My grandma made it religiously for him when i was a kid! She also made the best peach cobbler, rum cakes and yeast rolls in the world! When I lived in Atlanta, we used to go to the Busy Bee a lot and I mean a lot. Since we moved to the outskirts it's a chore to get there, every street on the way is being worked on...lol.. But I'm glad to know the quality has not changed.

I agree! Da Bay aka Da Yey will treat him like family aka La Familia when he lands in da Bay! Tell him to try the Food Trucks in East Oakland! El Taco Zamarino on High Street, 45th and International and their restaurant on Foothill Blvd! Guadalajara also on International and their restaurant on Fruitvale Ave and their food truck in front of the restaurant! Definitely, try Charlie's Las Palmas on Fruitvale Ave in East Oakland! Try the Super Burritos or Super Nachos! You'll be dancin' and so will Cuzzo pointin' to the sky! The Southern Cafe on MacArthur Blvd has the best Soul Food! They'll hook ya up! I would suggest Lena's on Foothill Blvd, but it's closed for right now! Another good spot is Dixon's on 90th and International Blvd! Either place is da shit! Nuff Said!

tbbc this was one of my food spots when I lived in Atlanta....the beautiful, paschals, even donnies, piece of cake, cami cakes are good too......merkersons and mary mac tea room was good when it was open and under different ownership. Also great places to eat are la grotta buckhead, oceanaire, atlanta fish market
