I like the idea of their bundles, adore their commitment to paying a living wage, and enjoy their up-cycling methods…however…the good intentions associated with their pricing does not seem to match the value of their items. There are already so many thrift stores out there that sell better stuff at a lower price, or better quality items at a higher but more fair price. I just don’t think they can beat out the competition. I think their company should focus on the up-cycling and find more ways to flip unwanted or damaged items. Im sure they could get some free/cheap clothes from those existing secondhand stores to use, so their profit margin would be really good!

i disagree. before buying second hand got trendy (and expensive), you'd find me in tracksuit jackets of random local sports clubs, men's winter coats with cigarette burns and (famously hated by my mother) an EMP catalogue advert tshirt with a bunch of monsters on the front. these work shirts and local business shirts were what people were after when i started thrifting. something you could not buy on any highstreet.

I gave them a try a few months ago and was so disappointed because I love their whole ethos and the fact that they're trying to do something with some of these clothes. I bought one of the special zodiac bundles (I think the Cancer one). It was supposed to come with two vintage crewnecks, a Cancer-themed patch, two "thrift" t-shirts, and a tapestry blanket. It took well over two months to ship and around the time it shipped I was refunded $15 because (the email said) "something was not included in your bundle." I didn't end up receiving the vintage crews (where I imagine most of the value would have been) or the cancer patch. So I ended up with two crappy thrift tees and an admittedly very cute tapestry blanket. BUT I paid $50 and only received $15 back for the missing items which I think is really screwed up :( AND it rubs me the wrong way that they have such an aggressive marketing campaign (I get texts from them constantly and frequent ads as well) but then they are unable to fulfill the orders that are placed. The effort they put into the bundles/products doesn't seem to match the effort that is put into marketing and sales.

I really don’t think this company is for you. It’s actually a pretty great company idea and I’m impressed with the work they’ve done to improve.
