Super cool! Met you at Sweetwater a few years ago. Now won some pickups from you that were sponsored by Sweetwater. Now I just need a guitar that’s as cool as the pickups. I found out that I had won by my Sweetwater Rep calling me. He was as excited as I was !!

Awesome video, I have Dimarzio Dark Matter pickups and its the first thing anyone notices when they see that guitar. Those covers are always a sweet addition to an already great sound. These new ones would be a good upgrade for one of my other guitars.

A set that went under the rug was the Dimarzio Pandemonium set - Nita Strauss I think. They were in a guitar I bought off a fellow and they were very versatile, tight but ballsy. Definitely unique and great pickups but didnt sell too much.

@@84kjkbecause music and guitar playing is more like an athletic competition to most guitarists and their metric is impressive technique. I suspect most play for the primary goal to impress others and they have minimal artistic ideas if any

Yeah, I have a really good lab grade Gauss Tesla meter that tells me the polarity, and magnetic field strength. You can make a decent Gauss meter with a Hall Effect sensor and coupld of small op amps to drive a meter. It won't be useful for accurate numerical values but it will work great for comparison purposes and it will cost about $9500 less. You can make a nice one for under $100.

They sound relatively low output- which is nice, low output always sounds better to me. I would rather have low output pups and then hit my amp with a boost or whatever if I want to get heavy- than have high output pickups I'm constantly having to turn way down. I don't know why but, low output just sounds better.
