Oh Stuart please keep talking, I learn SO much from watching & listening to you whilst you paint. I also feel a great connection to your art, we are same age with similar backgrounds too. I am in awe for your generosity in doing what you do for free. I emigrated to the land of Oz from england 50 years ago so time zones preclude me from watching live. Sending bundles of gratitude & admiration your way🙏🙏

The first thing that you said about mystery was movement. Through the rest of the video I observed energy and intensity of color. I noticed that there was minimal mixing of color. I’m fascinated with the idea of the concept of art. This work definitely says Mystery. Thanks so much for your art. I am most delighted to be a part of it.

👋Hi Stuart, I'm glad to see a new beautiful artwork from you. By no means will it be boring here. I'm looking at a fantastic landscape, mysterious, yes, I think because of the darker sky and all the wooded hills you can recognize. The yellow spots in the middle ground that look like ripe cornfields make the painting even more interesting. One can always walkabout in your works, there are many planes that create a three-dimensional effect and allow us to go from one to another with our gaze, always discovering new structures that create illusions in one of "there is something there". Superb, Stuart, thank you. Have a nice weekend.👍💖

Mystery is so often part of your work and it's become part of my work. It really does intrigue the viewer! Think about it, you can paint what is obvious, or you can leave some mystery to the mind, so the people can find their own interpretation of it! 💜

Great painting! I really love your style and approach and I hope I will get somwhere near your skill in the future. I really hope you do not worry too much about KZbin statistics. They can be really stressful. I also love what you did with your microphone, it really did wonders for the audio part. Here's hoping you keep it so we can hear your rambling :D If people don't like it, they can always just mute the video and put music on on their own. But as you can clearly see, there are a lot of us who would miss your spoken insights and your nonsensical ramblings in equal parts. Also please don't worry too much about making a perfect KZbin video. You are a great painter, teacher and (it seems like) all around pleasant human and the production quality of the content can never substract from that :)

Would like to take a class from you, if I can ever save enough to go to France, on my bucket list! I have been painting seriously since age 14 but I seem to always be learning with each painting.”Ancora imparo”. Art is not what you seeBut what you make others see. I am retired and living in the mountains of Montana 71 miles from Yellowstone Park , a landscape painting is always near at hand!! 🎉

It looks like the western US - New Mexico or Arizona with open flat areas and mesas sticking up above the horizon. Of course, there are Rocky Mountains as well in many places, but so far, this looks like the Big Sky country of Navajo land - immense, wide-open, and filled with mystery. Of course, there are no real "bushes" as there are in Europe. You would more likely see cacti and scrub brush that is thin and dusty looking. The mesas draw me in to the vast expanse and I am looking east from the foothills of the Rockies at a little after dawn. Just amazing how moving it seems. The sky is still a mystery of clouds.

Goodn👍 Did you know that when watching your videos "on my phone" i can zoom into the areas as you're painting. I guess you could direct viewers to do this on areas you are working on. It would save messing about with the camera and it would save you minutes.

I've been gone for a year and do really enjoy being back again with your words and vision put on board with your paint. At the end of the video the painting looks a lot darker. I like that. I kno i'm late but congratulations Stuart. BTW i think youtube readings are misleading a bit. Because wen i have things to do at home i stop the video and come back to the video at a later time. KZbin might say to you that i have lost interest half way threu the video. But that wil newer happen with me. This video i've watched it all the way in one take. Greetings,, Kitty.

Mr. Davies, how about the word, Mystic: of obscure or mysterious character or significance, for your skies rather than the word mystery? Another lovely painting as always! PS. No music. Your voice is part of the magic of your videos!
@StuartDavies Жыл бұрын
Because I'm adding mystery to the painting, not 'mystic'.
@donneekomisar480610 ай бұрын
I think of mystery as a feeling of wondering what's around the corner, on the other side of the woods, or never knowing what may come out of my husbands mouth next! Maybe mystery can be a " Don't go up the stairs!" of " What was that noise? Hopefully not the plumbing...". Life is after all a mystery, a sight read a constant not knowing. All any of us really have in uncertainty that's why your paintings are all a mystery and pleasant surprise, we can just learn to expect the unexpected. Proceed as the way opens.

What made you move to France, to paint, rather than say, Cornwall? The light down there is meant to be great for painting. And, would it be worth experimenting, with your BIG brush, on the landscape the same as you do with the clouds?
