Evening all! I hope you’ve had an eggseptional week and thanks as always for joining me for another episode… Tonight’s is a little bit different, in that I experimented with having it shot and edited by a production house. It’s a one off, so if you don’t like it don’t panic, we’ll be back to the usual formula in the next episode. That said, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this style; whether good, bad or indifferent. It’ll give me some idea of whether to do something similar again in future… This one is by popular request, since a lot of people have asked me to give Brew Dog’s AYCE wing record a bash for a while now. It’s also by way of a huge thank you to the folks who watch/listen to the podcast too! Have a tasty week and I’ll see you next Sunday when the California/Nevada series starts! Stay insatiable, your pal BMF :) *For those asking, no this isn’t a sponsored video, Disco Stu doesn’t advertise. I’ve no affiliation with Brew Dog, they just happen to do AYCE wings and keep an actual leaderboard, but the real ones already knew that 😘

The fun you two had with each other was great and stands out from the other videos. I personally think that the extra editing helped make it look more fun, but still prefer the more raw footage you typically produce. I liked the idea someone else mentioned of a hot ones type show where you try doing interviews while people stuff themselves.

For me personally, I love how unique and approachable your usual style is. It is a large part of the charm of your videos. So when it comes to me personally, I prefer the classic BeardMeatsFood style that we all know and love, feels like the viewers are welcomed to sit with you rather than in this video it feels like the viewer is a spectator to an event. Absolutely love this style of videographer shot/edited content. It's an interesting dilemma and topic of discussion... On the one hand, your success is deserving of full scale production and it takes the pressure off you having to do everything. On the other hand, organic Beard content is what we've all come to know and love. You've created and grown a style that is wholly synonymous with who you are and is also of exceptional quality. It would be a shame to lose the self shot content (which it doesn't seem is on the cards anyway) but would also be nice to see some cinematic/movie style content every now and then. I mean who doesn't want to kick back with popcorn and watch a feature length of Beard!!! You won't be selling out if you deliver more production shot content, just do what feels right for you and what you enjoy the most. ❤

@@hisammy3969 dont listen to the ones that are saying eating slower means you'll eat more. They clearly eat small portions. Your appetite and calorie intake is largely controlled by hormones. After a meal, your gut suppresses a hormone called ghrelin, which controls hunger, while also releasing fullness hormones. These hormones tell your brain that you have eaten, reducing appetite, making you feel full, and helping you stop eating. This process takes about 20 minutes, so slowing down gives your brain the time it needs to receive these signals. So eating quickly is the way to do it if all you want to do is eat as much as possible

Genuinely enjoyed this one. The jokes and humour took it to another level. You should definitely do a series together, even though my grandma can eat more wings than your pal

I like this format. Feels like the production team tried (or was forced to) to stay true to the style of the channel, and did as good a job at it as can be expected from a professional team. Sure it doesn't have quite the same home-grown feel to it, but if it means a significantly reduced workload for the Beard I'm absolutely voting for more videos like it. Thumbs up from me!

Yes, please make this an occasional format! We could survive at least 3 more of Breaking Bread in a row before we demand new humans.

Always a blast watching you eat with someone else. Beard Vs a normal human should happen more often.

I definitely wouldn't mind this style of editing every now and again, it's like seeing you as a guest on a professional show!
