In the LoZ: OOT - Ultimate Trial romhack, Keese can be a run-ending hazard to the player. That romhack revolves around progression through a gauntlet of enemies from OOT and it is no joke. Once you finally get far enough through it, then you unlock a gauntlet of legendary versions of each boss from OOT, back-to-back, and have to make it through all of them in a row. There's replayability value to it since it's a rogue-like and resets the progress to room 1 when you get a game over.

My grandparents owned the original 1.0 version. I definitely remember the old fire temple chants, and it was very weird when I played this game many years later hearing something different. I figured I was just remembering something incorrectly until I watched a video on the history of the fire temple music.

That's pretty interesting, I never experienced the chants so going from chants to no chants must be strange.

​@@PsySlikIt definitely is. The chant is "Bismillah al rahman al rahim", which is an Islamic prayer meaning, "In the name of God the most gracious, most compassionate." It wasn't that it was offensive or anything, it's just that Nintendo wanted to play it safe in regards to any religious or political depictions within the game. That's also why a symbol of a crescent moon and a star was removed from the brown pushable blocks, the switches on the ground, an equippable item you will unlock much later, etc. That moon and star symbol is ☪️, which was a prominent symbol within the Ottoman Empire and which still holds a degree of prominence in Islam.

I hope watching this while baked feels as good as playing this baked. I had the 1.0 version of the game, had the gold cartridge. This was my first Zelda, all because my mom didn't wanna play with my dad and he really wanted to play with someone. lmao. But yeah, the original soundtrack, I thought, was really pretty.

Here I am to chime in again. The fire dancer changes color as you kick it's butt. Also, in the Volvagia fight, when it's dropping rocks, I like to hang off the edge and never get hit.

Fun fact about every dungeon for this entire series: I was planning on talking about the chanting but he already did. Luckily it was a little wrong, it was removed for the chanting, because it supposedly had a religious background, but it was actually just a stock sound effect. The devs coded in r wings from starfox in order to test volvagia’s ai. Speaking of volvagia there is another skip in this dungeon. If you get the hoverboots (you can do glitches to enter the shadow temple early), in the room where you get the hammer you can use the hammer and boots to clip through a wall and into the boss room. The lava that does damage over time does damage slower with the red tunic on. However, there is only 1 damage over time floor type, meaning spikes and poison floors are affected by the red tunic as well.
