Great job, team. There have been so many teachable moments for people looking to get into motorsport. DT, experienced as he is, looking to ask questions and learn about how the car works on the salt. Alex wanting to push and be competetive, but taking care of her borrowed car and listening to experienced racers. Keith and Tonya taking the time to exp.ain things with the history, context and reason, and making sure that nothing was more important than safety. That is the sort of crew that I wouĺd always want in the next pit bay, and that is about my biggest compliment.

that front air dam is huge. no wonder the car was fishtailing at 220ish. it is pushing a lot of wind. in the roadkill episode where they raced it, another firebird with no air dam was going 8 mph faster.

great drive alex and great backup from all support crew and friends, just one quick point, i feel if you had of hooked top gear, there may have been a rev drop, but i think that wee small block would of pulled enough to give you a better top end in those last 2 runs, it wasnt going to red line in 3rd, as i noticed it just starting to break down, either dizzy or starting to lean out, at that point.
@JohnEG5 ай бұрын
That last run was intense and from the in car audio it sure sounded like there was a pretty significant boost leak, hence the motor was down on power and couldn't rev out for the gear change. Then again, I could be just hearing things. Great content though... Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
