Hi Emma, wow what a reset already, such a credit to you but make sure you don't overdo it and take care of yourself, and I really hope your husband doesn't come down with it. Please don't feel you need to justify your husband or daughters schedule, nobody has the right to pass negative comments, it's not helpful and nor do they know everything that is going on in people's lives. Stay well and have a wonderful week Emma.

I think people who are saying that they should help out more are coming from a place of love. Everyone can help out no matter how busy they are. It’s just simple manners to take your dishes into the kitchen and clean them off. I think we often say it’s okay they are busy but we are busy too and everything should never be left to one person. Maybe have a family five minute reset after dinner to get things done. Good luck.

Good idea, will suggest this 😊

The five minute reset sounds like a great idea. When my kids were elementary age and the house was driving me crazy I’d announce a random length of time they needed to pick up as fast as possible. If they didn’t work fast I added time. Example, 3minutes and 17 seconds multiplied by the seven of us adds up. They seemed to enjoy the sporadic times I’d announce and it was a fun challenge to see what we could accomplish. Many hands make light work.

Emma, I’m so glad you’re getting well. It’s so good seeing you and the familiar things. I agree your husband did so very much. Your daughter is still young and as you said, she could do a bit more, but she’s busy, too. My mother spared us a lot of work and responsibilities because she wanted us to just enjoy being young. We have certain things we had to do, but not much. I think everyone did their best or nearly their best and it’s just hard no matter what when the main person who takes care of the home gets sick.

Springtime is good for the soul. Deep breaths out in the garden. Lucky you to have crocus now, ours still haven't appeared way up here in Lapland! I am happy you are on the mend, and may you have a good week ahead with half term on its way. You will get the house back to where you want it, not overnight! 😇

Yes she is very busy. Thursday was 08:15-19:30 as she had a show!! Then Friday my husband picked her up at 16:00 and she was back 18:30 for the second show. She loves school though every break and lunch she has crotchet, or bunny care, flute, Lego robotics, archeological society etc etc

Based on your symptoms, I think my husband and I had the same type of illness at Christmas last year. It stinks and it lags on with the cough and in my case, the fatigue. I hope you recover completely, and I do hope your husband does not get sick. It seems to be a common cycle, as I was not sick until helping care for my husband for 3 days, then woke up with a sore throat and it went downhill from that. Yes, do rest and not over do as it could trigger a relapse. I've had that happen before and between feeling like crap and being angry that I hadn't taken enough time to rest, I learned my lesson. And yes, your husband did do a lot while you were ill, taking care of the important, critical things.

Thanks a lot for your post. I hope he doesn't get it either. I got it as I was rushing round and looking after my daughter.... You are right I will take time to rest plenty.

Just a tip! When your overwhelmed take a trash bag and a box into the room your cleaning. Gather up all trash and then gather everything else that doesn't belong in that space and put it in the basket. Have everyone go through the basket and pull their stuff out and put away. Makes it faster and easier on you and make others take responsibility for their own belongings🦋❤️🦋❤️🦋❤️🦋❤️

If your washing machine also dries can you start it before you leave for work and then in the evening you just need to put the load away? It might make it easier until you are fully returned to health.

No need to explain that your husband contributes. People dont realize this is your channel and youre video'ing yourself and talking about your schedule. You're not video'ing your husbands work, tasks, errands, contributions and he's not talking about his schedule. Women do this on every channel. If they dont see it, they assume it doesnt exist. Lol. It's stupid.
