I do really wish this deck wasn't so one note because, as this video shows, this deck has a crazy hand trap game. Having this much synergy with Effect Veiler and Skull Miester is incredibly cool. I do wish we'd got to see the Spooky Dogwood as well because the original didn't run it and I would've liked to know how well it could work in the deck. Especially because Ancient Leaf Dragon Archfiend is up their with Pendulum yosenjus and Elementsabers as one of my favorite What a Decks

Super glad to see RDA get some attention. Honestly they really need a good level 7 and 11. RDAs just need some actual good synchros that aren't just your turn stuff. A quick effect pop and another negate would really help the deck since all they have are field nukes since field nukes are nice but Supernova's best features are often just that he's a big boi who can't die. More protection could be cool if they don't wanna do negates. Like a level 7 that can banish to protect red reign style and a level 11 that negates but takes two tuners would both be great and feel right at home. Also a way to go into the other two tuners RDA's before the battlestep that isn't just crimson resonator. A level 4 non-tuner that specials a resonator from grave or deck by banishing itself with the usual restrictions might makes pure Resonators better than the assault mode package is. Rda's are so cool design wise and I love their sheer field wipe shenanigan's so really hope they get some stardust level of support in the future. I mean they have the luck of being a rival deck so they for sure will I just hope it's good I feel like Mathmech Final sigma is a great level 12 to go into against spell and trap heavy decks. It's easy to go into with how RDAs work and with the Assault mode engine or Abyss's revive effect is super easy to go into and gets Bane off your field since he's not great after reviving your Abyss. I feel like Joe focused a bit too much on the dark dragon restriction since a lot of the resonator support has it but Assault mode engine and Ascator can make other stuff and turn 2 reviving Diabolos leaves you with a lot of options. Sad to see that Joe just had some bad luck against the decks he faced. Also Jojo Meme is always a plus. Thank you lord Cvit

I've alwayds used Star Eater as the 11 and, almost ashamed to say this, Exploder Dragonwing, as the 7. While Black Rose is probably the better card, I just lock myself into Darks too often to use it.

@Cringe Doctor It's ot about getting it out on turn 1 or not the problem with the deck is that it takes to many cards to get there. There are no 1 card starters and because of that you need to many resources to get to a single negation/boss monster. Crimson Resonator helped the Deck a lot but it's not enough. Most 2 card combos can't even get you to a negate you need crimson resonator or at least 3 cards and then there is the thing that you specifically need tuners and non tuners so you need to play a lot of both and they all do nothing. You cant play enough other cards like handtraps you are very limited to engines because your lockedinto Dark Dragon Synchros and the 2-3 card combo that give you 1 negate loses to most hand traps. The Deck has to many flaws it's very sad they could make it so much stronger they don't need to fear that it would be abuses in other decks because your locked into Dark Dragon Syncros anyway I don't get why they don't give good monsters and searchers to the deck.

You can play Noble Knight Shield Barrier to search Hop Ear. If you revive Chaos Ruler from the Graveyard you can use him to make Baronne de Fleur on your ops turn. This makes up for the Dark Dragon restrictions

Hello hardleg love the content! But as for those "bots" we can confirm that there are indeed a CRAZY number of bot players online, so I'd guess that it's more then likely it was a bot even if it appears to be thinking as sometimes it may just be thinking of how to order the plays it has in it's hand and comparing it to whatever you have on board. It's true most people just sell the accounts, but you can just leave it on a main account and grind for gems forever it just might take a while. If that bot had all those royal rares, I'd guess that person is just keeping all those gems and opening packs for themselves. I don't think it was hacking for higher rarity cards because that has not been a widely observed cheat in the community (as of now), but I guess anything is possible

Just got to the bot part and I'd like to add that all the royal rare and shiny cards are there because it's more enticing to a buyer of the account if it's advertized as "You get a bunch of gems and also it comes with X number of random Royal Rare cards to 'get you started.'" Probably because it grinds gems so much, they're able to open packs when they have free time and pack/craft spam in order to get the royal rarities.

You can use Scarlight to go into Red Nova, because it treats itself as Red Dragon Archfiend, I would also recommend playing more Creation and Synkron Resonators, as well as an Engine or 2

Regarding the smooth sailing in gold: I've noticed the same thing this season where I've deliberately not ranked up to platinum and I think its because you now get locked into plat where before you could derank to gold. Everyone in gold by the end of the season hasn't been able to rank out which means a 99% chance their deck sucks ass.

I was just wondering the other day if Red Dragon Archfiend was any good. It has this edgy dragon BIG NUMBER vibe that just feels very YGO to me, even if the combos take a bit longer than i'd like. Also i LOVE the Resonators, they're just weird little guys(and now a relic from when Konami made Tuners actually related to tuning). I love this series, it's super fun! Keep it up!

Crimson resonator is such a funny card. It's one of the few cards with restriction text that's entirely understandable because otherwise resonators would be insane lmao. Also huh I didn't know dark hole had an animation.

42:24 The "Scoop after big guy shows up" syndrome is very real in this game, so you have my sympathies in that regard. While grinding out dailies, one of the most consistent issues I ran into was trying to grind ones with attack declaration as the objective, because with decks like Maju Stromberg or Zombie Control, it's actually really hard to keep a player hooked for long enough to actually attack. Once Maju comes in with a 8 000 body or Balerdroch starts existing period, most of the time people just bolt it right away. It's why Rank10 Trains has become a bit of a pet-deck for me, because it's the easiest thing to grind with. I don't know why, but it seems like rushing in with Liebe doesn't give that immediate reaction to scoop on the spot. Maybe because Rank10 fields are usually rather empty, alot of people just don't get that "Fuck this" reaction right away, because there's this idea that "I only need to get over one thing". That's my theory anyway. Even outside of trying to grind dailies though, it kinda does sometimes get on my nerves that people just won't let me do my thing. I understand the frustration of just wanting to get on with the next game or stop right there, but I did make my decks with the intention of getting to play them and I'd rather not feel like I have to play a deck not because I love it and put alot of effort into making it, but because people actually let me play with it. It has admittedly made me more patient as a player. I used to do similarly quite often, especially on EDOpro or in person, where getting right into another game takes no time at all, but now that I know what it feels like to get chronically blue-balled, I have started to stick with duels until the last moment. A sort of gesture of "You played/deckbuilt well, I'll let you do your thing". Although of all daily grinding, one of my favorites to do is trap activation, because I can just imagine the reactions I get from people with my bizarre plays and disproportionately bad deck for my rank. If anyone ever runs into "Big Bunion" in Diamond with a terrible Paleo/Frog deck and a tendency to use Olenoides on their own backrow, that's me (and you're welcome for the free win).

Some of us resonator players have been tinkering around with a noble knights shield bearer engine. 3x bearer to search the targets, which are hop ear for synchroing barronne your opponents turn and dynathernuim for just a random extender. I also run phantom king hyride for a brick line (summon via halq + shooting riser = barrone)

If you're interested I'm a player that exclusively plays RDA in Ranked and relatively easy get to the highest ranking every season, there's a lot of improvements you can do to your deck to make it incredibly busted & able to play around everything in most cases. First trick to tell you about is that the only link monster you only need is the Halqifibrax, you don't need any other link monsters, you should also add Shooting Riser dragon (this is what you turn halqifibrax into) & Phantom King Hydride (a tuner monster that counts as a none tuner if needed) so most of the time when you got a dead hand you simply use the red resonator to summon another possibly useless monster that is bricking your hand and this will allow you to go into a setup that will be able to turn itself into a baronne de fleur on the opponents turn, if you're able to play properly & get out a Chaos ruler you can also use the halqifibrax to summon a level 1 tuner which then allows you to summon the shooting riser dragon on enemies turn, put a wandering king wildwind to the graveyard with it's effect and then it becomes level 3 you can then quick effect synchro summon a king calamity on the opponents turn & during your turn you can search out a crimson resonator -> play it use effect and then bring back chaos ruler from graveyard since shooting riser dragon is light and hydride is dark. this will give you a Red Supernova Dragon and basically finish your opponent assuming the king calamity summon shut em down.

I've been play RDA for months now and I gotta tell you its super fun but bricky as hell. The assault engine + Barrone + a few other synchros can make the deck a lot better but since they rarely if ever get summoned first turn, things can get difficult. I hope it gets some support in the future that can up its consistency without making into a combo heavy shit show like synchros or speedroids. Awesome video by the way and praise be to the Ojama empire of meme decks.

So, halq takes care of some of the bricks. to further fix it. Shooting riser dragon actually makes a wonderful help. So it's go into halq bring out riser on your opponents turn. if the set up is right you can either go into Barrone OR King Calamity which is almost just an auto win at that point.

Oh my god, that penultimate duel was just an endless mode of top deck bullshit. And well-put in the summary, Hardleg. The low ceiling, linear gameplan, and red rising dragon being very breakable rung of the synchro ladder drag the deck down. Still, there's some novelty to recycling your hand traps with burning soul and 2 recurring banish nukes that do spice up the deck. However, more Synchro's to diversify the ladder and an actual omni negate like their own Shooting Majestic Star Dragon would be nice.

Dudes in 2019 were running a Rokket engine alongside Resonators to get a lot of free material onboard using Quick Launch. Not sure how necessary that would actually be, given that I've only seen you brick like two times an hour into this, but it's a fun tech option.

Also Joe, read King Calamity. Bane lets you climb right into it (bring a base RDA back to the field, summon two Resonators by itself through battle damage), and King Calamity pretty much shuts down the opponent's cards for the turn.
