I don't know if you had ever thought about this, but I really really like to see you travel and show different parts of France. I'm also an expat, and living in France, and I tend to get the feeling that most tourist always see France as Paris! and gosh, it is such a different and diverse country. Every region has its own charm, and I love the fact that you can show a bit of that. Please please try to travel around a bit more..

Yay! More trains! That’s what I would love if I ever were able to live outside the US for a year or two: weekend excursions to explore nearby cities and regions. So easy to do with the trains and discount airlines in Europe. I haven’t been to Bordeaux but it’s looks great so far. My wife went when she studied a few months in Paris in college but I’m sure I can convince her to return at some point! Look forward to tomorrow’s video!

My wife and I went to Bordeaux last year and really enjoyed it. We liked La Cité du Vin, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're very interested in wine. I would love to see you visit more places in France. So many American tourists only go to Paris. I know a couple who has visited France ten times, and they have never been anywhere further from Paris than Versailles. I love Paris, but there are so many other beautiful places in France.

Just listened to the MBCG podcast- a very profound conversation in places, especially towards the end. It reminds you that there are still a lot of very intelligent people in the world - easy to forget in these days of fake news and attention-grabbing headlines. I was not surprised to hear you talk about your dad, I had wondered about your background as it discreetly informs everything you do and are. No spoilers!

Just suggestion for a destination, Tallinn, Estonia. Been there once and that was before the wall came down. And even though it was 'somewhat restricted' it was a beautiful city. Today it is said to be great. FYI, Tallinn got its city rights in 1248 I think, a mere 15 years after my home town got hers.

Oh Bordeaux is so nice! Eat lots of canalés and a good entrecote with red wine and you're set! I would say bike around the city, go explore the 2 sides of the city, they have very different vibes and the bridges are impressive. Hi Jay. I hope you don’t find me too impertinent, but I have a tiny request. Well, from my perspective, tiny 😬. You do a great deal of moving from one neighborhood to another. I’m planning on moving part time to Paris in 2020. Some of the areas you’re in are more beautiful and convenient than others. Would it be possible for you to state which arrondissement you’re in each day in your vlog? It would give me a better idea of where I might to settle.

What’s the best way to get to Bordeaux from the 12 arrondismont in Paris?
@JaySwanson9 ай бұрын
The only Paris station that serves Bordeaux is Montparnasse, so you'll want to book Montparnasse -> Bordeaux St Jean. The 12e is HUGE so there are a number of ways to get to Montparnasse; I'd recommend using CityMapper to find the best route from where you're staying to the station!

CAMERA PROBLEM - RANDOM STOP RECORDING PROBLEM. With out getting too technical with the why this is happening, you "may" find that Re-formatting your Memory Card will fix this random “stop recording” problem. Again, this is a "maybe" fix?? NOTE: be sure to remove anything you want to keep from the Memory Card, before you Format the Card (formatting will erases everything on the Memory Card)… also be sure to format the card "in the camera" (that is important). A slow Memory Card can also be an issue.
