Well guys we start off with some maintenance on the truck and then start dealing with greedy agents but here’s the next load with landstar I figure out the hard way it’s not easy to book a load near Jacksonville but we end up taking a load out of Savannah to Texas for Part 1

Try to stay out 2 weeks if you plan to make money or find a gig that has dedicated run from Jacksonville, going by the house cost time and money...you should've ran 16 to 80 jump on 85 to 65 to 10. You have 5 days to make money and make everyday count. If you don't have kids, stack your paper and know your cost of operation. You should make a minimum of $600 net for you daily. Get in the habit of moving your axels back when loading anything over 35k LB, it helps your truck suspension.

Some advice! You have an old truck, stop buying shit that won't keep it on the road, steering wheel inserts and new dash infills won't keep the wheels turning and the bills paid. Concentrate on preventative maintenance and items that need replacing. A flash looking truck sitting on the side of the road broken down is not worth shit.

When you work in this industry you'll always have days when everything goes wrong. Even your truck rattles more than usually or maybe your ear picks the noises up better. Then you have days when everything goes great. Just soldier on and remember that not all days are like this. Best of luck.

@@TruckerAK Oh bummer man wished I would have mentioned roadside service cost Big bucks. I'm sorry, assumed you knew. AK obviously your mechanically inclined knowing vibration was that exact tire. Fixing Landstar mudflap yourself was extremely smart. Pulling this Hazmat load across 7 states can bring you into 14 scales including Texas. You could have been nailed worse than the tire. AK you are a very valuable Owner/Operator. When your gut suggests something follow it. Sometime soon weigh tractor with full fuel tanks to avoid an overweight fine. You already have your empty weight. Hazmat load violations are career ending. AK you are doing a fine job.

I love your classic I had a 98 that I ran for 15 years she was a good truck. You'll get over a million miles on that 60 series if you treat it right and keep the oil change intervals at 10,000. Here's a piece of advice, ditch that fuel filter set up and run spin on filters you'll be happier. Good luck to you, I'll have to follow your channel. You want a long bridge go over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge , or the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnell . Mobile bay dont Light a stick to those two. Mobile had the tunnel also with that hazmat load. Get those stacks. Keep trucking

ya lost audio at 4:08 changing your filter! you need to go to landstar online and do your filters and search through the online list, leave your origin state blank and destination state empty! You will find a hell of alot more loads

That’s the weird thing about Hyundai trailers. The mud flap holes are off. But in all my years of trucking & being around trucks since I was a kid, it’s always hot as hell outside when putting mud flaps on

@@mptpowertrucking8096 But it's still generally good advice. Obviously, different situations offer different opportunities. If you live a few miles off the interstate and your loads take you past the house on a regular basis, then stopping off for some home-cooked isn't that bad of an idea. But if you have to deadhead out of your way to get that home-cooked, it could be costing you money, especially if it becomes a habit. From what I've seen, AK is doing a fine job trucking and learning about trucking. Now imparting some of my 43-years of trucking experience: I'm not sure changing your fuel filter at 15,000 miles is necessary, I'd go more with how well it is flowing...and not being filled to the top indicates it's still flowing OK. Mudflaps "fall off" when someone (not necessarily you) backs into a curb and they get pulled off, usually ripping the holes and/or bending the bracket. So your deadheading to Savannah to get a load to Houston, right? Why would you run back down to Jacksonville, as it seems you are planning? You could run the back roads (US 84 across Georgia from Richmond Hill towards Valdosta, US 41 south to GA 31 into Florida then work your way on down to I-10) and save quite a few miles. And except for towns like Jesup and Waycross, that road is just like an interstate...4-lane divided highway. A good road atlas will pay for itself very quickly in miles (fuel) saved. And if you buy a Rand McNally at Walmart, it will have a chart listing all the Walmarts by highway and exit number. There was mention of a blowout and an image of you sitting along the side of the road. That will cost a road service expense...you can avoid that by limping on to a tire shop. And you are encouraged to get out of harm's way. The tire guys will certainly appreciate it as well. You probably already have the Loves, PFJ, and Petro/TA apps...they can help you find the closest place to get your tire fixed from among their centers. Super singles don't afford you the chance to go very far if one blows. Stay safe out there.

How's it going Mr. AK? I seen you finally got your bumper gaurds, I always thought they made a truck look better and they come in handy in tight places. Coming to TX. Huh? Best I remember I-10 is one rough son of a gun going thru Louisiana unless they fixed it. Won't be long you'll be in the DFW area I bet....lol. You be careful man
