Nice job backing that baler and accumulator in!

That's one to put in the log book. A couple of hours and a six percent drop in moisture content. That is a useful data point. Great videos. Thanks.

Great video and the JD 4555 is becoming a rear tractor. Very cool to see it working hard running the big baler

🥰 I sure enjoyed watching everyone doing the haying. Growing up on a farm back in the early 50's I worked every summer school holidays on the farm.

Love the old school Inter and small baler, takes me back to the 1960s on my uncles farm in AUS.

You know you grew up on a farm when you grew up believing the actual name of the group was Haulin' Oats. 🤣

I have heard "intense grassing" works well. Not only do they eat every thing, but they are also not walking on every thing. This gives the grass more of a rest and a chance to grow.
@karlrovey2 жыл бұрын
If you're referring to intensive grazing, they do walk over just about everything, but only for a small portion of the field at any given time.

What a nice story this week of the life of Carl. Just wondering what happens to the oats. Doesn't Carl fix flats? I thought he was a guy of a million talents HA HA.

Good to see some machines we haven't seen before. If you didn't lock up the hens would a Coyote or fox get them?
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch92062 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tim! We are definitely in an area with alot of raccoons and skunks. They love eating both chickens and eggs so we keep them locked up always at night. Often they get to run around during the daytime.

I don't think I missed a video but when did ur boss get the NH big baler? Or is this ur brothers boss? As always awesome video.

Do you need to swath the oats to harvest, or can one conventionally harvest oats with the proper header on a combine? My experience is solely with Red Winter Wheat.

Hey Carl. How much do those big bales weigh? What is the model of the New Holland baler? Always great content. God Bless.
@gregnoorman8372 жыл бұрын
What do you do with the bales that were to “wet” ?
@dodgebrothersfarmandranch92062 жыл бұрын
Any wet “test bales” should be fed right away before they start to spoil.

Farmers from Georgia, Illinois, Colorado, Wyoming, Arkansas, Iowa and New York are now using the new “SNX30 fertilizer supplement” that makes fertilizer affordable. Why would you doubt the WORD of 3 agronomists, a past Board Member of the New York Farm Viability Institute (and farmer), a Georgia Corn Commission Board Member (and farmer), top NCGA corn yield winners, soil structure and nutrient manager and other farmers about the unmatched benefits of the “SNX30 fertilizer supplement”? If you can't believe them, who can you believe? As one farmer put it - It almost feels like cheating.
