Frank Pepe invented the white clam pizza (I read he was allergic to tomatoes)! My folks were born in New Haven. Pepe's (and Sally's, Modern, etc) has been part of my life since forever!

Why is he driving a car? There are really small motor homes, or pull campers that don't take up a lot of space. If your goal is to stop and eat. There are fit in your bed of a truck tiny camper. Can rewarm your food too.

Welcome to Connecticut, Mike! Pepe's Pizza and Louie's Lunch are iconic, but neither one is the best example of New Haven pizza/hamburgers. Glad you tried them, though!

That bright orange dessert you had from the baklava place is called kanafeh. It's topped often with shredded bits of phyllo dough, has a cream cheese-like filling, and a rose water + simple syrup glaze. It is far and away the best dessert you can get in and around the Middle East.
