We were going to St Augustine and Charleston in 2019 but hurricane Mathew had other ideas. Totally agree with Annapolis and Baltimore. It’s a long trip from Australia

Love you guys so much and appreciate your reviews which I can trust you for telling the absolute truth... I've only boated north of you in the Connecticut, Long Island New York and Massachusetts Waters.. so I have no experience with the places you mentioned except for Oaks Bluff on Martha's Vineyard which I absolutely love, but do look forward to exploring those areas in the South you mentioned in the near future.... But I would also like to explore North of me in New Hampshire and especially in Maine and all of its scenic small Islands.... That's the thing I always loved about boating is it's always an adventure..🥂🍸🍸

Have you ever stopped at Yorktown, VA when on the Chesapeake? Nice town dock on the River Walk. Historic town, kind of small but a few nice restaurants and shuttle access to the town, battlefield and a couple of musems. Make your way over to Williamsburg for a bigger town with more restaurants and night life. Great place to visit, especially if you're into history. Not as glamorous as some of the Florida towns. If you decide to go I'd love to hoist a cold one with you.

You guys still need to try Port City Marina in Wilmington, NC. Right next to the convention center on the Riverwalk, it's hard not to love the location. Everything is right there at your fingertips. Wilmington is such a great city, so worth the short hop up the Cape Fear river. We've kept Lagniappe, our 53' Hatteras there for a couple of years, now and love the area and the staff at the marina.

That said I always wanted to ask you guys, and if you possibly know what other yachts do bigger and or smaller with tipping dock hands in the states, and Caribbean, Bahamas etc? How much, and do you tip arriving and departing, and if they do anything special for you? Thanks, and can’t wait to have a few cocktails with you guys one day!!

We tip anywhere from $5 to $20. The average being $10. It depends on what they do. Someone who just grabs the lines than walks away without a word gets a five. Someone who takes the time to be courteous, helps hook up the electric, gets a $10. Someone who does all the above and shows a genuine interest in having us at their marina, perhaps recommends a restaurant, etc. gets a $20. We also tip higher for difficult situations, like strong current or if it is raining. We also tip more if there are two dockhands since we know they are going to split the tip. And, we only tip upon arrival not when departing. We typically tip $10 at fuel docks. Hope that helps.

Just found your vlog We lost our 46 sailboat to Hurricane Ian. After fifty years we moved to power. Six of your top 10 are also on mine the other four are on our bucket list. When you paned in Fernandina Beach you captured a blue Pilgrim. We just purchased Hull #1 Sam McGee. She is red. We hope to cross wakes in the future. We are full time live aboard cruisers. Bravo on this video. We are in Brunswick Landing and will be heading ICW mid April. I’ve put my honey do list aside and will now binge watch your channel.

Well I have to agree with you about fort Lauderdale, Baltimore and Annapolis or as I like to call it "The boat Circus" I don't believe there was ever that I didn't see something I've never seen before. Weddings, a sailboat taking out of Ego Alley weaving flawlessly between other craft coming in, a boat owner who stops to let his dog jump off the bow pulpit, swim alongside the vessel, climb up the swim ladder and run up to the bow pulpit to dive off again 3x till the owner commanded him to stop. The greatest part is you can have liquor delivered right to your vessel from the liquor right around the corner.

Annapolis Md was my favorite of all the places you mentioned Charleston. would be my 2nd port as I have had my boat there a few times. next one would be key west as I stopped there as a 18 year old on my 1st boat on my way to Deal md it was the only port we stayed overnight because we found a bar and my and my best friend got so drunk we didn't feel safe taking out my new boat Hehe I also like myrtle beach but i don't know of a dock with a bar even close to it
