Dear Sir, I entered USA on 23 Nov 2022 with my IV category SB1 visa. Should I get a new Green Card as I entered with an SB1 visa? Or Is my existing green card (expiring on 05-21-2027, issued on 05-21-2017) still valid as proof of my permanent resident status? Can I exit and enter USA using my existing green card? Thanks

Hello, Thank you for your video. I have only 2 questions if I may. There is no information on the official website. Do you need to send to the Embassy your actual Green Card(original document) when applying for SB-1 returning visa. And do you just send it to the local US Embassy without even calling them? There is only 1 US Embassy in Canada, and they don't answer phone calls. Consequently, there is no way you can talk to them or book an appointment. It's scary me a bit that you need to send the documents without knowing will they receive them or not or will they accept them or not as I'm sure there is more than just 1 department.

I have an E11 green card. left the US two months into the national lockdown with my wife and have remained in Europe for over 6 months. We gave up our lease in NJ because it was about to end but I am still employed full time (working remotely from EU) by a company in NJ and maintain US bank accounts, bills, taxes, etc. Would not having an apartment/house be a negative for reentry? I am planning on coming to the US to apply for reentry permit next month.

Not good. You're more likely to get let in if you just fly there. Why apply for an SB 1 visa? It will take probably one year for the embassy or consulate to decide and in most cases, over 90 percent, they decline. Why place your immigration status in the hands of one consulate employee? Because they could cancel your green card and take away your LPR status. Fly to the USA and if unlucky, you'll get an NTA and have to appear in court. You can then hire an attorney and try to defend your case, which you legally have a right to do.
