Man it's so sad to see how far assassins creed has fallen since he left, considering how much I loved the first two games, but im glad he's getting a chance to make interesting games without being pressured by corporate publishers and that they're selling well.

I love the new ACs, but they definitely bungled the original storylines with his departure.

Great to hear this dude. Man, does ubisoft stink since he left, saying it is a cliche by now..., or since he got fired... Long live Panache.

I really wanted to get to know Patrice a little bit more - since exactly the first few AC games he helped create mean so much to me in my life - and this interview really gave me that. Thank you so much for this interview!

All big industries begin like that until the workers unionize and demand more rights. The video game industry is still too young.

I think it's so cool to learn that I have a distant relative who created this game. My husband loved playing A.C. Now we have a 9yr old son who is a huge gamer & wants to learn coding, etc. He says he wants to work as a beta tester when he's a teenager. Lol. Gotta love a kid with ambitions & goals. 😄😄

Once you're getting noticed as a talented and skillful at what you do it's just really better to stay away from corporations as much as possible because it may not seem harmful to many unwise consumers that just take anything you put in front of them but in the long run, you can see it coming. I must thank fate from many years ago for letting me play and finish the first 2 AC (Brotherhood and Revelations as well) games because after that I have never played any AC game again. I tried AC 3 and who knows when I'll finish it if ever but that would be my last one and I'll just keep those important memories with Desmond for myself. Thank you, Patrice and Desmond

Patrice Désilets is the equivalent of what George Lucas means to Star Wars. There's plenty of rumors about how Patrice Désilets wanted to conclude his franchise with Desmond Miles but Ubisoft wasn't fond of his ideas so they fired him after Brotherhood. Now of course if any of the rumors are true about how AC was supposed to end, most of them still sounds way better and more consistent than what we got... It's really unfortunate for Patrice, it's legit the classic story with one man having a cool idea/product where he works which propels the company into to an amount of absurd wealth to then be tossed aside by some suits and tie without receiving not even 1% of the immense monetary benefit of his invention. Patrice should've left Ubisoft with his own idea and start his own studio with his friends and who knows how it would've turned out (I'm pretty sure it would've been way better). Especially today when you see all these TV shows based on video game like TW or the upcoming Warhammer 40k TV show series on Amazon that Henry Cavill will star and produce. Forget the AC 2016 movie they did, just imagine with competant writers and people who actually understand the AC universe.

It was originally going to end with Desmond being the chosen one who was going to definitively defeat the Templars in the modern day. He and Lucy would ultimately fly into space on an Isu ship, escaping Earth's destruction to create a new civilization as the new Adam and Eve. He was also possibly thinking about doing an AC game during the Incan empire, so that likely would have been AC4 or 5, depending on how fast he wanted to wrap things up. Then it would have ended. I would have much preferred that I think than what AC turned into now. But endings don't make money..

I really really would like to know what he had in mind for the next AC games and the ending of the story if he would have stayed the creative director on Assassin's Creed. So sad for what the AC franchise has become.. They even put fortnite like costumes and weapons in the AC games nowadays. Such a shame
