So I had to retake the tsi 3x and I finally passed my third one! The first time I took it I got a 349, the second time I got 345, and the third time I got a 363!!! From my experience of retaking it so many times, here’s my advice. First, you should really have a good sleep before going because the first two times I took the test I notice that I got really tired halfway through. Second, HAVE A GOOD MEAL AND DONT GO ON AN EMPTY STOMACH!!! I usually had breakfast around 7, skip lunch, and then I would go take the test at 3 (right after school). I did that for the first two tests I took and I noticed that I had no energy, I could not concentrate, and and I was also feeling very tired. Third, I highly recommend you take it early b/c I usually feel more awake and energized around 12-2pm. I also decided to only go to half of my classes and leave early to take the test b/c I notice that I feel really drained after school which made things even worse. And lastly I watched this video which actually helped me! This video actually made understand and analyze the text better. To be honest I was about give up because sign up for dual credit was the next day and I just felt hopeless after failing two tests but I’m glad I didn’t . So, I hope this helps anyone that’s struggling or anyone that is about to take the test for the first time.

Please don’t let your nerves get the best of you or distract you, you need to put all of your focus on the passages to understand the questions properly and do not rush i promise taking your time is worth it in the end! Get a good nights rest you got this!!

@@i.ractex personally not really, most of the stuff in the TSI was stuff I know from elementary school (except the essay). So unless you forgot some reading and language skills from elementary school, the video isn't really helpful. I'd suggest watching, but do it on 2x speed to save time

As for my experience, for the ELAR portion(30 questions) I got a 933 on my first attempt which isn’t so great but then got a 942 on my 2nd attempt which is slight improvement but still not passing. Now, on my third attempt that I’m taking tmr, I really really hope I can score above a 945 and just be done with it but I’m anxious whether I score lower or higher. Besides, did u remember your 2nd attempt score if u don’t mind me asking?
