TO did a lot better in this series that one could have expected based on their regular season record vs boston which was zero wins out of four games played. TO has some better players it seems but boston is the better team. I think if TO had of played all their games with the same urgency they showed in games 5,6 and 7 they may have won the series. However, in the end, it always comes down to the netminder. Boston had the slight edge there. It's never the fault of one player though cos it's a TEAM sport.

When he asks “how are you feeling?” It’s not because the journalist genuinely does not know what the answer is and wants to find out…. No, the question is designed to get the interviewee to answer and talk about their emotion.. this is how you get quotes for the newspaper and clips like the one we are watching in the first place. If they don’t ask… what kind of interview would that be? The interviewee just stands there? The interviewee doesn’t talk about the way they feel? Why would anyone watch at that point 99% of the time journalists know the answer to the questions they ask. The entire point is to get someone to talk on camera so the viewers can watch. It’s not an opportunity for the journalist to get the answers to things they are personally curious about lol

The Coach has to march the style of Hockey play, you need a good defensive coach that has reliable 'D'. Lack of effort on Morgan Riely coming back, lack of effort on Mitch Marner, and lack of effort on Samsonov trying to stop the dump in, or poke check. You went to Woll because Samsonov couldn't do the job. Why not use Martin Jones in game 7.

As I sit here and watch the Dallas and Vegas game, it looks like it’s a different league. The fans are engaged players finish every hit and the emotion is through the roof. If there is anyone to blame, blame the MLSE. Players don’t play to lose, but also make do with what they are given, including the coach. We cannot blame the coach nor the players, but management and ownership are to blame. For example, if you own the restaurant and were aware that the food was horrible yet customers kept coming back. Would you change the menu? Toronto is one of the richest franchises in sports and that is all that matters to MLSE, not the fans nor the cup.

Their normal system allows for more goal scoring but they don't know how to find offensive chances in a defensive minded game. The Core Four have to be changed. Matthews and Nylander showed their stuff these playoffs. Taveres played well but was well good enough. Marner just doesn't to show up enough of the times in the playoffs....certainly not enough when they were without Nylander or even Matthews. Bertuzzi and Domi showed their stuff these playoffs, as did Knies. Edmundson and McCabe showed they belong with their play. Reilly was okay. Woll was lights out best goalie. But too much $ tied up in the Core Four to keep trying for another "wait until next year" approach. Ultimately it is not about regular season records but playoff results. So what changes need to be made? Despite their no-trade clauses new homes need to be found for Marner and Taveres. Free up some $ for some better defensemen & for true first string goalie (and maybe not Markstrom) while Woll is backup. Make Matthews Captain. Use Marner and Taveres to get some of missing pieces in trades. Use saved $ to resign Domi and Bertuzzi....and definitely keep Edmundson and McCabe....bye bye to Giordano and Brodie. Let Treliving do some magic and add his fingerprints to this team....add grit.....get a new coach as Keefe hasn't gotten them there in too many tries.....and maybe Shanny your time is up and so is your 'plan'.
