I haven't done a completely non-Ui-mama clip in a while, but I felt that this one needed doing. I've seen many people speculating on reddit and discord on who her partner could be and if Tamaki would retire etc that a translation of Norio-sensei's thoughts about why she announced her marriage would be good. My own takeaways from what Norio said is:- 1. Her announcing the marriage because she felt keeping it a secret wouldn't be fair to those who have supported her. 2. Her consistent policy of asking fans not to fall in love with/'gachi-koi' her. 3. Her revealing what her husband does so as to avoid/reduce people speculating if her husband was another person involved in the vtubing/youtubing world and bothering those people with their speculations. 4. Her marriage would have no effect on either her or Inuyama Tamaki's activities. 5. Her wish that talk of her marriage be limited just to her announcement stream or only if it's a natural consequence of the conversation between Tamaki and his collab partners. I sincerely hope I've done the translation justice particularly for this video as it's about Norio's very important life decision and thinkings.

I know that Tamaki isn't marketed as an idol, but i think Norio's level-headed, rational (and even somewhat distant) relationship with her audience is very healthy. I think it's a stepping stone towards healthy entertainment consumption, and helps both the content creator and audience to not fall into a parasocial relationship. Yup its the way most Western livestreamers are perceived, like on twitch. They have partners, are married, and we even get entertained when their partners show up occasionally on stream or create some small drama. Overall its a much healthier and balanced streaming live. Ofc they will still be haters, twitch streamers have them too, every livestreamer just has to learn to ignore or deal with them in their own way and focus on the viewers who support their balanced, realistic lifestyle.

While Im extactic that someone like Norio-sensei is willing and comfortable enough to share so much personal information about herself while remaining a Vtuber, I also dont want people to use her example a reason to try pressuring more Vtubers to do the same. I wish more streamers would be like Tamaki sensei. I wish they would just come out and say "if you are donating to me to express your love for me, then I will not be able to respond your feelings". I think in general the streamer-viewer relationship that has transpired over the last a few years has been extremely unhealthy. If you take a normal Twitch streamer as an example, at the very least you see their face etc, but even then, you are not their friend! You are just someone that supports their work/act/job. I think viewers like us should also wake up to the reality that no you will not all of sudden become friends with your favorite streamer/vtuber, no you will not date them once you donated enough money. Its fine to do some role-play and joking around but its so much more important to focus on your IRL stuff and focus on improving yourself as a human being instead of living in a fantasy. There are quite alot of factors playing into decision. For one thing Tamaki/Norio are pretty clear he/she does not want gachikoi fans, and recommended them to seek others instead. Norio also never really hides herself and this is more of squaring up with her fans. tbh, I'm more thinking on how the vtubers can use their experience when applying for other careers when they graduated. Putting "Uruha Rushia" as experience for example, might leads to quite a news nowadays. Although I guess reason why some people vtubing is because they don't want others to see their real face in the first place.
