For those of you sending thoughts and prayers to the Japanese.... know this.... Japan is probably the most xenophobic country in the world. They don't care about your thoughts and prayers. I've lived here 20 years, trust me. Don't be fooled by their "sincerity" and "politeness".

@jagan2

@@finlandguy427 employer and employee are 2 different people. It's not the fault of the employees if they are forced to have long working hours and if the employer doesn't care for their mental health and exhaustion. Also, traditionally in Japan long working hours were seen as dedication, loyalty and care toward their families, because it gives security of the job and of the income to support the family (Japanese people, correct me if I'm wrong). If you watch the social experiments in Japan on youtube, you will notice that there are quite some Japaneses that do care for people that they don't know; I haven't seen so much empathy in Europe at all! Also, Japanese people are much more respectful and socially aware than other countries, especially than the latest generations in the US (I'm looking at you, american kid that abuses of the smartphone to record people in public places and make fun of them on social media).

@@MilkMan317 Thank you very much! We are safe here. I had just returned from cycling around the park with my daughter, and we were city down to eat when the earthquake began. Here in Tokyo it wasn't noticeable at ground level, but in our 20th floor apartment it was pretty intense, it was like being on a boat, rocking back and forth with the doors sliding or swinging open and closed by themselves. I will probably go to Ishikawa to volunteer for the cleanup once they get things sorted out. Japan is very good at dealing with disasters, everyone helps each other, and there is never any looting.

@@will7its oh well it seems like this whole Fukushima nuclear disaster seems to be a bit of a period of what has just happened now and it seems like a 13-year gap to get into such a tragedy like this has made it almost impossible to hit Japan so hard I'm such a late period of time to come through🇯🇵😔😫😩 What I can also say is that why Japan is still very much vulnerable to earthquakes tsunamis and typhoon related disaster it pretty much is very proactively responsive towards any natural disaster hits yes it also is helpful by also letting other countries accommodate to help the country itself recover
