Tsunami2 New GE Tier 4 Features

At 71, I'm new to the hobby. I started in April with N scale & at that size I wanted "BIG sound" so I found Broadway Limited and the Rolling Thunder Sub Woofer. I will say I screwed up my BLI Mb-1 so bad I sent it back. BLI fixed it at NO charge and returned it. But while it was away I bought a BLI HO (I already had Rolling Thunder). But after watching your videos I'm going for a nice HO Prairie (my favorite steam type) from Athern or Bachman that's DCC READY then it's a Tsunami2 for me. The way you can customize the "chip" is amazing. And from reviews, your speed control, especially slow, is tops (my layout is one straight track 8' long - I need slow). Way to help a guy "expand" both his rolling stock, and his horizons as well. Thanks for sharing...

FishplateFilms So glad I hesitated on my order. I will get a CSX with this decoder, and mu it with the Walthers Mainline sd70ace. The pulling power will be amazing.

This is way better than ESU for the Tier 4 GEVO. Can you please put those sounds (particularly that sweet K5HL) on the ES40DC/ES44DC/AC/C4 series engines?

I was just looking at their product page, and all of these sounds (prime mover, K5HL, etc.) have been included in the GE sound file grouping for the Tsunami 2 decoders. So as long as you purchase the GE sound version of the decoder, you should be good. At least I think that's true.

No problem. But I'm not sure if all of those sounds come with the Athearn/factory sound decoder. This might be something to ask Soundtraxx, but you probably have to get the DC version of the GEVO and install a Tsunami 2.

Most of the airhorns available on Tsunami2 decoders are available on your Athearn Factory Equipped models. You can see all of the sounds available on your specific factory installed models on our website: soundtraxx.com/factory-installed/athearn/genesis/
