Jeesh, that's complex! I'll stick with the far simpler Tsuro.

Hi, what happens to the player who was on a tile that was flipped and was put down in the same space but with no path under him?

They still get put in the same spot, just on the little nub of a path on the other side of the tile

Thanks for the solid tutorial, although would I be forgiven for thinking that the act of putting the star down on the board at all seems kind of unnecessary? Instead you could just pass through the square with a lantern on it, move the lantern, and then take a star from the pile and put it directly in front of you. Why put the star down on the board for 2 seconds just to pick it up again? That part kind of confuses me.

The star placement is important if you are making a big move across several tiles. The stars remind you of your path, and mark where the lanterns came from if you take a bit of time to deliberate. It's also important that you don't move them as you go and place them ahead to another tile you are about to pass through in the same turn (which is not allowed).

Love the complexity of the game! Prefer this one over "Tsuro: The game of the path"
