TSW3 Tutorial - Wurzburg - Setup the ICE3 Including Safety Systems

In this tutorial I will walk you through setting up the ICE 3 including turning on the LZB, PZB and SIFA safety systems. Then we'll go for a drive and I will show you how to recover from a SIFA induced safety brake stop. Note I won't cover LZB in this one - see the ICE 1 tutorial for everything you need to know.

Can you please tell me how to recover from PZB automatic braking if I messed up in ICE3, during the braking, before the train comes to a complete stop? Its bit different from ICE1. Thank you

Throttle to zero. AFB can be left alone if it's on. Apply normal brake. Wait until train stops. Acknowledge PZB then push PZB Frei (release). Release the brakes and throttle up and you should start moving again.

ICE1 comes with Kassel Wurzburg route. ICE3 comes with Hauptstrecke München - Augsburg.

This is the first time I've played any of these games. I was driving the train and out of nowhere an alarm started sounding and the train is slowing down I can't figure out what to do and I have searched all of youtube and Google to figure it out and I've found nothing. The game is not friendly to beginners... someone help please.

Which route and train? You should only get behaviour like that with safety systems turned on, if you want a simpler experience make sure you turn them off (most trains default to off, but there are a couple of recent German ones that default to on)

@@tylerbroadway5472 Ah there ICE3 this shouldn't have safety systems on by default. In this video I turn on SIFA, PZB and LZB. These are safety systems. Don't turn them on until you're more used to the train. Remember this is a simulator not just a game, running without safety systems is more game like. Running with is more simulator like. Train driving is actually difficult IRL and the simulator reflects a degree of that.

How do I recover from The Manual Emergency Brake?

tap the brake again to release it or do you mean a PZB over-speed?

@@ninnobroggi press the same button again, throttle to off and you *might* need to apply the brake and release it again. I cannot test at the moment. Steam is stuck trying to download it.

How do you turn on passenger lights on the ICE3 or are they automatic?

as far as I know they are automatic, I just jumped into a service and they were on

So I believe you press the five key on the left display twice and it'll turn the passenger lights on good for when it's really dark out but like he said it might be more automated nowadays give it that it's already set up and you don't have to start it up with the new train Sim

I checked both ICE1 and ICE3 on Kassel-Wurzburg and both had passenger lights on by default. Are you seeing them off on Xbox?

My mistake, they do come on, I'm using low video settings so it wasn't that clear for me. Hopefully, I'll get a steam deck soon and can play in better quality.

It's pretty weird. I'm playing TSW3 on Xbox One and when I turn on the Safety systems, my train keeps stopping because of the Sifa. Unfortunately, I cannot access the Sifa button and we cannot remap controls on Xbox One so I cannot run this Train unlike the 401. What a shame, I love the way this train looks

@@midnight_driver71 press and hold X then other keys do a different yeah X and left dpad is safety system 2 and X and right dpad is safety system 3. I'm guessing you've never turned on PZB as you can't play without these controls

Is it yelling at you in German? That's so much fun isn't it? Check for likely culprits, battery on (cabinet at floor level right and behind drivers seat), park brake off (button on right dash under window), train and cab doors closed. Both train brakes (electric and air released) brake pipe pressure at 5 bar or better. Independent brake released. Reverser in forward.
