This was my favorite animation when I was 15! I watched it over and over. I watched a kdrama today that has this song and it HURLED me into my past where I first heard this song in the video. I don't think it's a matter of whether or not he loves her back as it is what others would think about them. The cat knows that relationship between the two of them would contradict the social norms. And, that frightens him to the point where he wouldn't even consider it. The rabbit, on the other hand, seems to believe in love at first sight. Also, she could care less about what Society thinks. Her relentless pursuit of him (she only follows her heart) coupled with his unwillingness to turn her down directly (he's too much of a nice guy) would eventually result in him agreeing to date her. (Albeit, a reluctant agreement to do so.) Ironically, the fact that he takes a liking to her interests and seeing her willing to give his interests a try causes the cat to fall for the rabbit. (Much too his embarrassment.)

I believe it was during the fall in 2004 when I saw this video on Newgrounds, my first year in upper secondary school. We didn’t have internet back then in our home, so every time I could use internet at school, I played this and annoyed the hell out of my friends with it lol. I even used the voice recorder on my phone to save it so I could listen to it when I was at home and tried to play along to it. It reminds me of the end of an era in my life but also the time before it, which was some of the best years. So happy to see it here! ☺️
