I think one reason people are drawn to Varian is his expressive face. I don't know why but his face is animated way more emotional than other character's (i.e. Eugene). Maybe it's because Jeremy puts so much more into the character that the animators got inspired to reflect all the nuances from the voice in his face as well?

I’m probably the only one who disagrees. I want Disney to make a Frozen and Tangled crossover series. The main characters would be Elsa, Anna, and Rapunzel. Other characters would include Olaf, Kristof, the Spirits of the Enchanted Forest, Eugene, Cassandra, Varian, and maybe even new characters like Samantha and Olivia from my fan fiction. I have one storyline idea but I’d be ok if Disney used a different storyline as long as it doesn’t debunk the existence of the characters I created for my fan fiction and it lasted for at least three seasons (If they debunked my characters I’d be sad but I’d eventually let it go because I would be happy I at least got the series I wanted). I’d also love it to have new songs. Maybe a duet by one Frozen and one Tangled character and something similar to Nothing Left To Lose (In my fan fiction I’ve got multiple scenes where Varian is probably tempted to sing that song again) and also a solo song for Elsa maybe something similar to Let It Go (I really want a new Elsa song to learn in French because I already know Let It Go, Into The Unknown, and Show Yourself in French). Please Disney make my dream series before I lose my mind! I’ve been Waiting In The Wings for this I’m Ready As I’ll Ever Be and Disney you have Nothing Left To Lose! And no I will Not Let It Go! Not until Elsa and Anna team up with Rapunzel and go Into The Unknown!

Me who has shifted: he is a great hugger, he likes me to tell him about democracy and the crazy shit America gets up to even tho America doesnt exist in his universe, he finds the fact that the virus plauging the world currently in named corona, he loves to bake because its "like alchemy for everyday people", he hates swimming with a passion like one day we were messing around and i through so water on him and he screamed at the top of his lungs, he told me the reason he drew a fake beard on is because he wanted to make Rapunzel think he is like really old but it did not work, him and Rudiger snuggling is just so sweet, his social awkwardness is the most wholesome thing, when he has a panic attack he likes to just be squeezed no talking just a really tight hug while he can let his emotions out he says "it shows that you care and are putting in effort without it seeming like you pity or are belittling me", surprisingly he has an extremely healthy sleep schedule and i am jealous of him for that, he loves a competition, he does not like mint, as you know he sleeps with his mouth open yet he doesnt snore but he does talk in his sleep (i have overheard him reciting chemical compounds), he refuses to take cold showers and preheated water before he was royal engineer (we both agreed on this one so much), he really likes to study others work and dissect to learn, he doodles little hearts and stars on his notes, he loves bragging about what he has achieved but doesn't like to sound snobby so be sure to show an interest in what he has to say, promises are obviously important to him, he learned piano as a child, he loves reading books to other people, he loves children and wants to have some when he is older, he said if he could he would smoke weed with me and i yold him his father would kill him, he really likes sledding in the snow, he really like impersonations, he likes a good prank, he drinks alcohol when he is trying to focus and i told him that it gives him the opposite effect and he said he needs ro be loose to focus and i still dont know how he can focus and remember, and finally during nothing left to lose he knew he could not do anything but he felt that he had to at least try

The thing about Project Obsidian is you can tell how the gun works thanks to other Varian moments. The yellow liquid is the solution that reacts to the black rocks and creates unbreakable amber. The green liquid is Flynnoleom, which reacts with the pink liquid and combusts - we know this from What the Hair!? So we can work out that the flynnoleom and pink stuff act as a gunspark to launch the amber compound, which, when it hits black rock, creates amber. The idea behind it is that Cass’ armor is made of black rock and she will be sealed in her own armor.

Oh that one’s actually pretty easy. An alembic is a simple apparatus for distillation. Subtraction is just removing objects from a collection, aka distillation; and poly means many or much. He’s flexing 🥺.

What I want to know is why Cassandra got redeemed JUST LIKE THAT. She stole the moonstone for her own benefit because she was JEALOUS of Rapunzel? It's not Rapunzel's fault she got kidnapped, but according to Cassandra it is. After all Cassandra put Rapunzel through, she gets redeemed in one episode? Opposed to Varian who got ARRESTED because he was trying to help his father? I'm not saying Varian is perfect but why didn't Cassandra get arrested, why wasn't she thrown in jail? Was it JUST because she was Rapunzel's friend? It makes no sense, you throw a 14 year old into jail, but let your best friend go even though what she said was argubally WORSE? Ok Disney, makes sense.

youre right. all varian did was try to get someone to help him. he might have kidnapped the queen, but cassandra has done way worse. she actually tried multiple times to kill rapunzel and (like you said) only cause she was kinda jealous of her. varian was trying to save his father, who he still relies on and needs seeing as he is only 14. cassandra is a full grown woman who can make decisions for herself, and varian is just a kid. it really doesnt make sense

Honestly who cares about hook foot? No one, so instead of having filler episodes that have ZERO benefit to the story maybe come up with a better ending.

Cass wasn't making decisions. The moonstone was making decisions for her, and Zhan Tiri was manipulating her as well. She had almost no control over what she was doing.

@@raysushine8383 So you’re telling me that in the entirety of season 3 and a bit of 2 she was not making ANY decisions for herself. Think about it, season 2 was leading up to her betrayal, they had frequent arguments with rapunzel then she sang a whole theater production about how she feels rapunzel outshines her and she deserves more than her. She knew exactly what she was doing. Yes there was some manipulation with Zhan Tiri, like how she threw away the mirror fragment. Ultimately Cassandra blamed rapunzel for something she had no control over while being a grown woman. Varian was 14, Cassandra was an adult, she should have had some common sense and maturity instead she stole something because she was J E A L O U S.

@@user-wf3ih2tk2g Cass did have some control, you're right. But overall she was being fed wrong information, and was being manipulated by her hurt feelings. She didn't believe she deserved more than Rapunzel, she felt she deserved equal because she is correct, she has been living in Rapunzel's shadow for pretty much the entire show. I'm sure someone said it somewhere, maybe Edmund or Adira, the moonstone puts thoughts in your head, and someone with such trauma in their past and such hurt feelings probably fell easily to that. Rapunzel on the other hand, had the protection of the sundrop and the knowledge that she has to do this, whether it ends her life or not. Eugene accepted the fate as well, knowing that Rapunzel has to do this. But Cass was manipulated. Zhan Tiri gave her a way out of the sadness and tears, something Cass has always looked for. Here's what I think was happening in Cassandra's mind. When she was getting nearer to the stone, she had her doubts about the plan. As Rapunzel's heart came towards her, showing that Rapunzel loves her, she was deciding. When Rapunzel turns around to say what she believes is her final goodbye to Cassandra, right before she turns around, Cass is thinking. When Rapunzel brings up the last few months, and the pain this means for Cass, she is too close to the moonstone and she knows she has to take it. I think when she grabs it first, she wants to simply stop Rapunzel from taking it. But once it's in her arm, Zhan Tiri and the moonstone grab hold of her mind and she remembers that this is a way out of the sadness, this will show everyone that I am equal to you. The rest of the season she is manipulated and lost and yes, she is making some decisions for herself, you're right. Another thing, people love to compare Cass and Varian. These characters are so different, but here we are. Varian is also lost. In reality, he had several choices, (while Cass did as well!) Other than completely lashing out, kidnapping the Queen, attacking the kingdom. He could have accepted that Rapunzel could not help him at the time. This must be difficult to understand for him, but if he had, Rapunzel probably would have let him stay with her until they blew the storm out. But he kept going, and she had no choice but to let him be taken away at the storm, the kingdom comes first. (Something the king couldn't even do, but Rapunzel did so claps to her) And then he also looked for a way out of the shame, the guilt, the disappointment. That was what Varian was afraid of, or couldn't handle. Like Cass couldn't bear to feel sadness, he couldn't bear to feel the disappointment, the guilt, or the shame. Both characters were wrong, but I still love them both lol. Cass is accountable for some of her actions, and Varian is as well. Sorry if I contradicted myself a few times, or just didn't make sense overall. I'm so excited I haven't had a friendly argument about this in forever!!

I usually get really annoyed at the trope of a character who can't shut up giving away important information by accident and yet I didn't this time because Varian is just that adorable and the delivery of that line killed me.
