steven lavimoniere I also live in massachusetts, and I work on Simmons valves ten fold and I have many customers with Deltas and hardly ever need to service them. And it is very inexpensive to replace springs & washers on them. Opposed to a $45 spindle on Simmons , I know you can replace the washers on Simmons but it's a pain. I've had more than a few problems with Simmons where I couldn't explain why I could not fix a no hot water problem new ta-10, new seats, hot water in but no hot water out, as well as hard to service seats if not impossible on an old valve. My older customers really like the easy to shut off of a Delta! Grab one one day and see if you like them they are pretty inexpensive as well. Love you videos Keep them coming!

He's a plumber in Massachusetts. The valve he is installing is correct. By code up here you are not supposed to install the old two handle shower valves due to scalding. Hot water out of shower head must not exceed 112 degrees farenheit. Also a liability on Steve if someone gets scalded after he leaves, I would do the same thing. Keep up the good work Steve.
@CSJiGSaW084 жыл бұрын
BILL W You are correct but he could of plumbed the hot and cold water lines into the tile holes from behind with new male adapters and install modern style anti scald valves that run along the tile wall. These are the nice chrome modern rectangular valves where the valve is actually outside the wall and they grab the tile with clips/screws. The shower head pipe runs along a rectangular body to the top. These are one handle but you can utizilize the 2 holes already for the hot and cold. They are expensive but its up to the customers budget always.

I don't know if he's caulking off camera. People are saying he doing a sloppy soldering job, but I wouldn't know since I've never done that. I don't why the customer is being a motormouth. I like how steven makes a comment about it just loud enough for the camera to hear. He may be enlarging the hole as big as he can so any future valve changes won't require any extra cutting. I would think that caulking under the plate would help keep water out better. As I said, I don't know if he's just not cutting off the camera before he does that or if he is just leaving it like that.

The parts design to block each, the cold water side one, the hot water side two, depending on the side you choose to turn on. Maybe when you open both faucets, both sides are unblock at the same time to bring down the warm water for the bath water. The shower switch located above the bath water knob turns the water into shower water which comes down from the shower head.

...homeowner has a point though. Be careful who you're marrying or just don't get married. they 'could' take you for all you have if they're vengeful types. If you have kids though, BOTH parents should always be obligated to support the kids financially, or don't have kids. I don't believe in alimony though. UNLESS the one spouse worked and put the other one through school, and then that person divorces them. that's not right, the person should pay the other back for their schooling. there are varying circumstances, but to get alimony just because you hate the person or are vindictive, is not right.
