Don't forget to give the paint a good wash and clay bar so you don't end up with little rust spots from the grinder 🤙

It's funny how we want to build what we don't have.. if I had the $$ I would get a tray and canopy 😊 but I am really enjoying modifying the tub. Skies the limit right now with it.

Love this! Really keen on doing the same but I’ve heard that the rigidity of the tub goes downhill after tub chops (like it wobbles at speeds) as the bottom of the tub that’s chopped off actually gives strength to the tub overall. Have you had any issues?

No issues with the at all. You can trim and reinstall the metal shield plates in the wheel arch as they do give some extra support.

I just had a look on the web at the Alaskan! That's a cool looking car. Does it also have the 2.3L diesel??

@@jpcaptured799 yes! It's exactly the same car, they're assembled on the same factory and rebadged por different markets. I think mine comes from Mexico.

Yup that's going for sure. The spare will be mounted in the tub.

I don't have any current plans on towing but you know what I might consider integrating a d40 bar into it 🤔

lift is a comp shocks 3n2 with 295/70R17 tyres

Improve the departure angles. So the tub doesn't scrape on the ground when going up big hills or rocks. Scraping on the ground decrease momentum etc... plus may damage the car.
