Thanks very much, John. It's amazing to think they have been playing this very enjoyable tune for about four years, though they haven't yet found a place for it on an Album. When Clarence Williams recorded it with his band - 'The Clarence Williams Jazz Kings' - in New York on 28 May 1929, Williams himself was on piano. He had nobody playing a banjo or guitar. Tuba Skinny as usual show great respect for the original. For example, Shaye and Craig (up to 00:45) take a turn each at playing the melody while the other plays the catchy response phrases, just as Ed Allen and Arville Harris did in the 1929 recording. Also, like Clarence Williams, Tuba Skinny play the tune in the key of F, until the introduction of the new 16-bar theme (01:48) where they switch to B flat. There are some impressive improvisations on this B flat theme. What a super Coda, too: you don't find that on the Clarence Williams original.
