I like that very much. It retained so much spirit of the original New Orleans Jazz. Differs so strongly from european Dixie. I think it must be very hard to keep it low in expression and not exaggerating things.

This is my favorite version of this TS classic. Everyone's in good spirits and looking hot. I'm surprised fans don't comment more on the humor in the band's performances. The arrangement here is spoofy and sly. They really have fun with this number. And then there are the lyrics. Erika complains she got poor service at the mill and "can't get no grinding." Hmm, I find that hard to believe! The whole Rapperswil performance features the band at top form.

@@stewartfenton7660 As for nobody being man enough for Erika, are you aware that she is a big woman? I'd guess about 5'10". There is one--only one--photo of Erika standing near the rest of the band. She is the tallest one in the photo. I don't know a lot about her, but everything we can see in the videos reinforces the idea that all TS band members, including Erika, are humble and unpretentious. There is one photo I absolutely adore in which Shaye and Erika are smiling at each other. That's a great friendship.

Flash stage clothes, solos being somehow made into an event which which then have to be applauded by a polite and appreciative audience, "showbiz" in other words, the "establishment" even, thank god TS are a million miles from that. And that picture, you mean the one with Erika sitting on the steps? A very sweet picture.

We are talking about two pictures. One is a group shot of the band, a black and white image that shows Erika to be taller than the guys. The other is a super sweet shot of Erika and Shaye sitting on the front stoop of a house, smiling at each other in deep friendship.

@@stevegrooms1142 We're talking about the same two pictures I know, and I've just called up the "front stoop" one. Yes, as usual it hit me in the face, "super sweet" is right, two sweet women. The other one, cain't find the durn thang, it only popped up on me a few days ago and I can't remember what song it goes with. The one with the old car. I've always thought that was someone else's idea, they don't go out of their way for a period look. It surprises me that I prefer them not to, as one who still strives at 70 to look like a 50's teen rebel, DA and all. Even in a Spanish village where that whole era passed them by, and they probably think I came from outer space. But then, 50's dress style is good, pre war isn't. Ha ha, setting myself up for our second disagreement?

Erika seems more content with playing an instrument while singing. Somehow, she seems a bit listless when only singing. The bass drum was a good match for her! Washboarders never get their proper due! Slick finger action, RR. :)
