If it Is not going to be used for an extended period of time. Would you still want to store this way? Sorry if a dumb question I’m a new pilot and don’t want to mess my brand new wing up.

If you can store your glider in an uncompressed way for a longer period of time, it's the best option. Leaving the bag open can also be a good compromise.
