The writers strike of 2007-2008 caused 2 episodes to be delayed until the following year.

That was the most fun, hilarious reaction to this episode I've ever seen! Also some great, insightful commentary. Yes, the show is well-rounded, but so are these reactions!

As others have pointed out, a writers' strike meant several episodes were postponed into Season Two, so Episode Two of Season Two is in fact the Season One Finale. Season Two is even better than Season One, and the same is true with the next three Seasons after that. Each one gets better and better, until Season Five, which airs some of he best TV ever made.

This show has always been a definite favorite, but ive never laughed throughout the entire season so much that it brought tears.

I respect you for having a good laugh while Tuco beat the s**t out to f someone. Tuco is a great character, he's kinda funny with his crazy but still believable personality, and scary and terrifying at the same time. That's one of the great things about BB you will notice more and more as you keep watching and encounter more character. Every single one - even side characters that only appear a few times - is written with great depth and a convincing, 3-dimesional personality. There are really next to non stereotypical run of the mill throwaway characters. On the smallest scale, even in this episode, the guy in the jewellery story, he got this very little tweak of "that's a real human" when we was offended by Skyler mistaking his office a storage room.

You appreciate Tuco as much as I do in the same way that I do. Yes, the character is hilarious and brilliant and the actor does a hello of a job with it. The scary part is, it's really not that far fetched. In the Mexican drug cartel meth world there are absolutely Tucos running around that unhinged.

Notice how Jesse always calls him "Mr. White," never Walt or Walter? It's like he's still the student and Walt is still his teacher.

Yea he called him Mr.W once and he did call him Walt maybe two or three times in the entire 5 seasons and that was only when he was mad at him and purposely trying to show him disrespect other than that he always calls him Mr.white

TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT ! As others pointed out, the writers strike caused this season to end early. Interestingly enough, the strike delay gave Vince Gilligan time to reflect and make certain changes to the show's direction in a very positive way. Saying anything further would be spoilers at this point.

Yes Jesse is right about meeting in a public place but Walt was thinking about keeping the pound of meth hidden during transaction so he thought privacy not to get caught and Jesse is thinking how not to get robbed and killed lol

There IS a lot of humor woven into this show...but I've never seen anyone laugh practically all the way through it like this. lol. I mean, Tuco was beating the shit outta that poor guy.

It kinda is thou, it's a mix of drama and dark comedy, for the first season at least, in later seasons it gets more dramatic and depressive

It isn't your standard comedy, but how can you deny the obvious dark humor injected in almost every other scene? Especially the first couple seasons. Then it gets very serious.

Raymond Cruz (“Tuco”) is just *SO* good in that role. I remember reading that his mom didn’t like the character, he was too mean and scary. Last year, there was a series of commercials for a snack product starring “Walt,” “Jesse,” and “Tuco.” Cruz steals the show. Nope. There are *absolutely no* future plot points, outcomes, or situations revealed in the advertisement. There are only couple of spoken lines that *DO NOT* give away (or even hint at) future events. Calling those lines “spoilers” is akin to saying the recent commercial with Arnold Schwarzenegger pronouncing “choppah” is a spoiler if you haven’t seen Predator.

What always struck me about this episode was our first time seeing the Heisenberg hat, made infamous by this show. We can see Walt and Jesse just still so amateur, and still having to deal with the psychotic Tuco still. At this stage still way out of their league.
