Tudor Black Bay ETA £250 Frankinwatch Build (Calvin Klein Watch Mod 2020)

Yes i have finally got around to working on the Calvin Klein, the only real part i will be using however is the ETA 2824 movement. I also have a very good friend who i'm going to call Frank who swopped me some unknown luxury watch parts for some Seiko parts. When they came in turned out to be a mixture of Tudor Black Bay parts. Not complete to make a full watch but a case, bezel, crystal, case back. Over a few weeks i found some after market parts and also modified some parts to make a complete frankinwatch.
I know some people might totally loose it with this video but i don't care. :P

Fantastic build - That generation of BB used an ETA so there is very little franken about you watch. I really respect that this BB is for your personal use and are honest about its origin, I think the fact that you built it adds to the value of this watch. Thank you for another great video 😊👍

Great video. Fantastic mod, it is what it is, but you built it. I’d be proud to wear that. The whole is always worth more than the sum of its parts. At the end of it you’ve got a great watch there!

Nothing wrong with this mod, well done. I have done the same with old beat up Swiss watches of no particular brand but have the great looks of an old 50s watch just with a different brand of mechanical movement. Plus the enjoyment of building a watch from bits and getting it to work. Like getting an old ford and putting in a new Chevy engine interior etc not original but keeping the look I suppose. Won’t sell them so no big deal.

Thanks, i think of it like a classic car. Got a shot exhaust, i get a new stainless one. Yeah not original but means i can get it back on the road and use it again, and looks basically the same ;)

I really like what you did, it’s a really nice watch. The problem with having it as a personal watch is then having to explain to everyone that notices it that’s it’s not 100% authentic, and it’s probably not something you’d hand down to your kids so then they’d have to explain it too. Really enjoyed your video, I’m definitely not throwing any shade at you!

Nice mod, I thought about using the 2824-2 in a similar way, but I have decided to keep my white dial Calvin Klein "as is". It is a cracking minimalist watch and is now in my "quirky and interesting" watch box :-) (now hunting for another bargain CK infinite)

The CK is a great watch don't get me wrong and at the price point ( not the RRP of £750) it is a steel. I will be looking at modding the CK again but maybe with a Chinese eta copy and different dial ;)

One thing I’ve never liked is the hour hand on my Tudor. Would have been cool to see you fit the Rolex Mercedes hands to make it like a Tudor sub

It was a unbranded Tudor copy i got from Aliexpress way back, however if you look up Tudor bracelet on Aliexpress there are plenty pop up. They are good quality for the money :)

Thanks and the Seiko parts I traded were worth maybe £250 and the CK was £90 so around £340 at a guess. Title was based just on the parts swop haha also trying to find Tudor parts not being a Tudor centre is impossible I did try.

I have tested to 6 bar which is 60 meters and all good. Can't do any better with my kit but in all honesty i'm not going diving any time soon. Even if i work in the offshore industry haha
