The fact that the patina is entirely reversible makes this even more desirable than a gold 58 in my opinion. Subtle if you let it be, shouty when you want it to be 👌🏼

@Silver Fox not exactly correct as “patina” is oxidation. When you remove oxidation, you’re actually removing metal that has chemically changed. Think of classic “rust” It’s the same thing.

@@BarkandJack Not quite sure why some are still questioning and believe that the bracelet will tarnish the skin. I have discussed this at length with the Tudor boutique in Dubai, which confirmed it is a proprietary Bronze alloy that they have spent some years perfecting; this will not affect the skin and even the bronze will patina in a more unique fashion (more a darker and richly coloured bronze, without the greenish formations). Tudor understand completely what they are doing with this release and I firmly believe, by far, it is their most exciting option to come out this year; with a serious amount of R&D invested by the brand.

I think now with the numerals the round markers look slightly oversized, I also thought the same for the BB36, on the standard 58 I think the bezel balances well with the big markers. Maybe a 10% decrease in size would look more refined on this dial

I don't go for bronze but can't wait for the clasp to filter into the other 58's. It's why mine lives on NATO's, love the bracelet (tolerate the rivets) but can't size it without it getting uncomfortable at some point during the day

That clasp is a huge upgrade functionally and aesthetically. I sold my bb58, largely because I didn't connect with it, but partially because I could never get the bracelet where I wanted it. I still wouldn't buy one again, but I like the design and I'm happy to see them continuing to improve it for others.

The problem for me with the way they have been releasing watches is that i'd be reluctant to buy one as i'd be worried that i'll prefer the one coming out next. It's also interesting how the 58 is more and more just referred to as the black bay and not the black bay 58, so is the 41mm heritage range becoming redundant?

I had a BBGMT for about 4 months maybe? Sold it bc the watch was just too bulky and the bracelet and clasp were the most uncomfortable I’ve ever owned. I wanted to love it so much but just couldn’t. A BBGMT 58 with new clasp might just be the model I would like. Fingers crossed for it. Great video Adrian. Always love them

When I first got my Bronze/Bronze Oris, I wasn't keen on it because it looked like gold and far too bling. However, nearly a year later, it has become my favourite watch. I've loved watching (pardon the pun) the patina develop and little flecks on it come and go. It's all down to taste I suppose. My wrist has only gone slightly green on a couple of occasions when the weather was hot.

I walked away thinking 'that's my next watch, it looks absolutely stunning'..... But as time went by I couldn't help being concerned about the patina issue..... is the T-Fit clasp of the BB58 Bronze the same size of the clasp of the original BB58? I own the BB58 and the clasp is way way way too huge for my 15cm wrist. Sticks out alot even with Uncle Seiko's half link. Took it out of the bracelet and put it on a nato strap since day 1 and thankfully I still love it alot.

Bronze which has patinated to a rich, uneven dark gold colour, is a thing of beauty. This shiny, trashy gold but not gold colour just screams Taiwan ‘Two for Ten Dollar’. So the whole success hangs on how it will patina. Let’s see. Good clasp finally.

I just got a call from The Tudor Boutique in Rome (on a Sunday actually). They estimated that the watch would be available for me in about a month and that I had to show up in person to collect it. I had about one month to collect it after purchase. I kept the door open and said that I was still interested and that they should call me when the watch arrived. I like the watch the way it look out of the box, but I’m concerned how it will look after a while. I agree with you, I would really see a BB58 with the T-fit, sure throw in a GMT, and definitely go METAS on a solid gold, TT or Stainless steel.

Except with 20mm Rolex glidelock extension, the tradeoff is a massive clasp. 8mm is enough which is more than the EasyLink one option adjustment 5mm system. No doubt Tudor will make this standard across their lineup and bring even more value to the consumer along with METAS. They are doing great things. Those GMT mockups have me drooling right now.

I have bronze watches and love them not for looking like golden. I like the patina, but I don't think a bronze bracelet is a good idea. It will paint the wrist green :) My Helberg is with a titanium back and still some green stains on the bronze where my wrist touches the case especially during summer.

Anyone knows if its aluminium insert could be a problem down the road, since it looks like it's in contact with the bronze case and could cause galvanic corrosion? Been reading some posts about it (on the older BB Bronze with aluminium insert), and just wondering if Tudor had said anything official about this concern. Thanks in advance!
