Great note on the end links - most watch reviews don't note how male/female affects wearability and I wish they would. I have the original 2-line black Pelagos, purchased before the blue/LHD came out, and it has been an exceptional watch. While I agree it could be nice if it was thinner, I sometimes like the extra chunk of the Pelagos compared to my Sub (124060). The thickness gives the watch some significant presence without feeling overdone because it is all matte.

The MT5612 (current movement in pelagos) is 6.5mm thick. The MT5402 (movement in the BB58 and new ranger) is 5mm thick. Glad to hear you find the bracelet sharp too. The watch case was too with mine. I did the unthinkable and took my dremel and added a small bevel to the edges. Knowingly reducing the value of the watch, but it made all the difference. I did it link by link and under magnification and you won't notice it. Can tell you that I was very nervous doing it though. Glad it worked. Only two things that bother me with this watch are the minor misalignment of the bezel insert (hello Seiko) and the spring of the clasp being too stiff to be comfortable. Oh, and it should have been grade 5 titanium

It can be flipped no problem, as the dial feet are in the same position when rotated 180 degrees. You are flipping the dial 180 degrees, not the movement, but I'm sure that's what you meant. The only caveat is you'd need to replace the date wheel with a standard Pelagos date wheel, otherwise the date will be upside down. This means means you lose the roulette colours for the date wheel, so if you can live with that, it's 100% doable.

Someone with a 6” wrist is free to wear whatever they please, but those are big watches. As mentioned, they like most Tudors are quite chunky. I’m not convinced that watch would wear well on someone with a wrist below 7”. Doesn’t mean someone can’t, do it anyway, but I wouldn’t suggest sight unseen. I’m not typically a left hand drive guy, this LHD works for me. I’m not typically drawn to date complications either on a tool watch. The vintage inspired red date numerals do work fir me. The helium escape valve means nothing to me either, the massive water resistance adding all that thickness means nothing to me either, but to a lot of consumers, who probably don’t dive either, this watch has appeal in that it is a real diver unlike the BB series. The square indices seem to work better with the snowflake hand. That’s a shame because I’m not typically a fan of how the square indices look. This version has always been an exception for me. This is a very good watch, not one I’d buy without seeing it in person.

14.1mm is very thick for a 42mm watch. That to me is a thickness note in line with a 44-46mm watch. And 42mm for a “tool” watch to me is slightly small. Tool watches should probably be at least 44-48mm in size there’s a reason they’re so big in regards to diving. Lug to lug at 50mm is nice for an average size wrist.
