The only Tudor I’ve ever wanted. Now my daily driver….fantastic understated watch.
@ErikL7273 күн бұрын
Great watch! I've had this piece for 2 years in a coastal environment. Tarnish cleans up easy with Wright's Silver polish, made sudsy and applied with a soft toothbrush. I wear mine on a heat-treated (for color match) Uncle jubilee, which is controversial, but it has been just fine in my use.
@BruceWilliams3 күн бұрын
Oh nice, how dark was the tarnishing in your experience? How did it look in conjunction with the dial and bezel color?
@ErikL7273 күн бұрын
@BruceWilliams on my wrist, it slowly gets yellowish in about a 3-month period. I tend to clean it at that point. There's lots of reports that those of us that wear them more often seem to have less patina. The ones that sit in boxes tend to have an accelerated process.

I got one for my silver wedding anniversary. Wonderful watch. The case looks and feels beautiful and the dial is such a lovely colour. I wear it on a vanguard rubber strap. Glorious.

Bruce, I've owned a 925 for over 2 years now. It's a great piece - even on the stock nato which I'm "meh" about. It has developed a nice patina, and it's the perfect "casual" Saturday afternoon at a picnic watch.

Saturday afternoon at a picnic watch. Heckuva ‘use case’ 😏🫡

You can purchase the other two Tudor straps if you like. Either the leather/rubber or the all rubber Bruce has in the video. The original setup I bought was the leather/rubber and bought the all rubber separately.

This watch is deeply underrated. It’s gorgeous. I bought one and it’s a show piece in my collection. Great watch!

Excellent review - I love the 925 and it has never looked better than in your video! I own a BB58 black/gilt and it is one of my most worn watches in my collection. Happy Holidays to you and your family, Bruce :)

The strap on mine fell apart within a year. I changed to an after market fitted black rubber. The ARC on mine is excellent. No tarnish issues for me.

❤ totally agree with you about the BB 925. It is my wife’s favourite watch and will stay in my collection ❤ I wear mine on a grey nato and it really looks great! 😊 Merry Christmas Bruce and family.

Mine has tarnished slowly over the years and at this point it’s really dark. The color almost blends into the dial, I love the way it looks and i doubt I’ll ever clean it
@kelvin.008Күн бұрын
Paired mine with a grey crocodile strap.. awesome. The original brown strap makes it look cheap!😊 Yes it tarnishes! To remove, tooth paste and soft tooth brush, 2 min job.

I like these a lot, just wish the BB's had a date window a an option...
@Niftynasri83 күн бұрын
By far the best dial and bezel colour, it is stunning! However with it being silver it is very soft and easy to ding. If they made this colour in steel it would be a game changer

I'd buy this watch instantly if it had a different hour hand, but that's a Tudor thing and the reason why I don't own any Tudor watches. Great brand and a nice watch here, happy for others that own it :) Iv'e searched for other brands that make Sterling Silver watches but no luck.

I guess we all now know why Tudor doesn’t generally have open casebacks. Woof
@dsant28113 күн бұрын
I'm a little too prissy for this watch. I gave mine a rinse and wipe down after every wear (I have it on Vanguard rubber strap). The tarnish was much less than others, and it gave it an even warmer, duller tone. I'm a maniac and actually did the warm water/baking soda/foil thing to remove the tarnish. Only after it was mostly done did I remember that the bezel insert is also aluminum. Dummy. Afterward, it was crazy bright silver. The bezel insert did not appear to be damaged, though I probably wouldn't do it again, just in case. It is currently sitting bright silver, loosely wrapped in plastic, while I decide whether to wear it again or sell.

sorry maybe im out of the loop on this one. But what does ARC mean lol this watch looks amazing! this would be insane if they made a similar silver bracelet model
@Dicey1513 күн бұрын
Anti reflective coating I think
@BruceWilliams3 күн бұрын
Yes 'anti reflective coating' some brands place a layer or multiple layers on one or both sides of the crystal. It cuts down on haze/refection. When done really well you see the dial with great clarity. Breitling and IWC are brands that most consistently do great anti reflective coating applications. Tudor really only does it on the Pelagos
@chrisbballninjaКүн бұрын
@@BruceWilliams oooh okay i see what you mean now! yeah i get arguments for no ARC and for ARC on the underside only. I personally worry about getting watches scratched that have anti reflective coatings on the top side. Additionally, I notice blue glare sometimes from ARCs.

Very happy they are continuing with the model. The 5 link bracelet looks amazing. I would love to see one in person as I'm sure they look a lot better than on the website. I also would prefer full availability as opposed to limited or select boutiques only.

Review the San Martin SN0144 Bruce.. Would love to have your thoughts. I own a Rolex, Longines, Maurice Lacroix to Seikos and Casios and I am somehow baffled by San Martin
@BruceWilliams3 күн бұрын
To be candid, I will never feature a San Martin. The brand is shameless in copying other brands designs. Even with their more 'original' offerings, the experience is too tainted for me to appreciate.
@Pushkar1473 күн бұрын
@BruceWilliams I hear you and I share the same thoughts but now I feel that they are making the designs accessible to a larger crowd and the Rolex wait list is too much for a lot of people to deal with... Loved your reviews on the Zenith Skyline, PRX gold, GMT Master 2 Pepsi
@bngr_bngr3 күн бұрын
@@Pushkar147a San Martin will never be like a Rolex. No one I know has bought a SM as their place holder until they get a call from their AD. Come on dude, if people are in a position to have to wait for a watch from an AS. Maybe they need to go grey market and be happy now than waiting for tomorrow that might not come.

Luxury and “tarnishing” aren’t exactly complementary terms. It’s a hipster curiosity but nothing more IMHO
@BruceWilliams3 күн бұрын
So you would say silver is for hipsters?
@The_RealStarkIndustries2 күн бұрын
Stylistically, I’d say “hipsters” often gravitate toward anything considered ‘different,’ quirky or ‘off the beaten path.’ Great content (as usual), Bruce…and appreciate the note👍

Honestly, this watch has never impressed me. It's sterling silver, the junk precious metal of the jewelry world. And of course, pure silver is probably too soft a metal to be a realistic option for a watch, so I understand why they went with sterling, but, meh. To me it would be a waste of $ and time messing with this piece, just give me stainless steel

Silver was the first globally recognized currency, was used for jewelry for thousands of years, and continues to be a commodity. I’ll take all that “junk” please.
