Happy Tuesday Newsday, quilters!
The tutorial this week is called Pinwheel Path. This tutorial has a special guest: Missy Luukkonen of the Little Green Bean!
It’s Garden of Quilts week! This week, we fly to Utah for Garden of Quilts on September 11-14.
And then next week, we have Birthday Bash from September 18-21! We can’t BELIEVE that Birthday Bash is so, so close! We can’t wait to see you here in Hamilton!
Soon after Birthday Bash, Jenny and Ron’s next adventure begins. Join us in Hamilton to see Jenny one last time before she leaves! There is so much Birthday Bash fun planned and we can’t wait to see you all there.
Tickets to select events are still available. Jenny leaves for 2 years right after Birthday Bash - don’t miss your opportunity to say hello and see a trunk show or two! bit.ly/4dKzBQO
Do you have any questions for Jenny? Leave them in the comments below and we’ll try to answer them next time! Have a great week, quilters.
See you soon!

Love your Tuesday Newsday - So excited to see and hear all about your Mission to Africa. We had an older couple in our Ward go to Africa, then came home and went to Australia. They loved their mission in Africa so much. And the same with Australia. Wish I knew about your being in Utah at Thanksgiving Point sooner, I would have loved to make a trip to see you. You will be missed. I have quilted most all my life, grew up living behind my maternal grandmother and sat with her and her friends and hand quilted many a quilt in my day. So when I first found you and discovered rotary cutters and long rulers and easier patterns, your MSQC opened my world to so many wonderful quilts and easier, quicker ways to sew them up. Thank you and enjoy your mission and can't wait to hear all about it and see you when you return. May the Lord bless you and Ron and keep you both and your family safe.

I know it’s not nearly the same, but we go to South Carolina for 2 months in the Winter to get away from out cold and snowy weather here in Upstate New York, and there’s no way I’d leave behind my sewing machine and projects! We load up our van and my machine and its table take up a lot of room, to my husband’s chagrin.

We are sort of opposite of you- we live in NC but my husband inherited his parents’ home in Fulton County, NY (Gloversville to be exact). He goes up there about every 3 weeks in mowing time (house and land!!) and he does go up a few times in winter to make sure all is well. I inky go up at Thanksgiving because there isn’t much if anything for me to do except to shop at the local and wonderful quilt shop!!! I works miss my quilt guild if I stayed longer😃😃😃😃😃. I never thought about taking a machine as there isn’t really any place except the small kitchen table to work so……..! I do take my hand e,grocery though😃😃. You should come down to SC for longer than 2 months!!!

Jenny, get a weighted hula hoop. I promise it is all the difference in the world. I can’t do a regular one but the weighted ones are easy to keep up. You can even make them with black 3/4 -polyethylene tubing and a connector wrapped in fun duct tape. Someone could do a class at birthday bash making them or sell them. We made them for so many people. I’m sure there’s a tutorial out there. Get one of the grandkids to make you one. I can almost promise you that you’ll be able to use it! 👍👩‍🌾💚😊
