how do slots work, and I don't mean the lines hahah, I mean, I always assumed each spin was completely random, as in, each spin is a set % chance to get a bonus, a set chance for any kind of big/mega/sensational win, but there are games that remember previous spins, the randomness is kind of feeling non existent :/ am I wrong?

Somebody did a video on this ages ago, where they attempted to explain. Apparently it’s easiest to imagine a giant tombola machine with millions of results in - 0x, 1x, 50x max win rate etc. every time you press spin it fetches at random a result. Most of the lights and action you see is completely pre programmed nonsense, to entice you into thinking “I nearly won big there” when you didn’t. Like when you are one off a big lotto win.
