Tuffy Security Products JK Glove Box Installation into 2015 Jeep Wrangler

In this video, I added the Tuffy JK Glove Box. Now I don't have a lot of valuables in my glove box today... but I do have some important things BEHIND the glove box... such as my CB. So adding the Tuffy glove box helps protect that as well.

This 16 gauge steel, high security glove box is an ideal replacement for the plastic factory glove box. The glove box can be used to secure a number of smaller items. Tuffy’s Patented latch system allows the glove box to be latched shut without having to be locked and unlocked each time it is accessed.

I appreciate you doing this video, especially since they don't care about getting the customer good instructions. Mine came with one page, missing most of install. When I contacted them to email me one, never received it. It also came with a key that wouldn't turn the cylinder. They sent me new lock cylinder and key ( mines a "turn" style) but the mechanism wasn't attached to unlock the cylinder. I had to drill a hole in arm and attach a spring. The only critique I might have of your video is that you didn't show how the gasket material should be placed along the box. Otherwise, very informative. Thank you.

If you still have the tow hitch you should check out the hitch safe on AMAZON or eBay, it's pretty cool

If u can CAD rework the badly placed holder for cabin air filter your box can get bigger + the speaker side. Surely we can make the glove box more full "normal size if we tried. Like I said u work it out box wise design wise & we will make or u can make prt to rework the whole space.

This install seemed frustrating to me; I dislike when I have to actually modify a product, to the point of using a grinding tool to make it fit. The downside of this is, if afterwards I’m unhappy with the product, good luck returning it. Don’t misunderstand me, your end results seem fine and you seem content with it, but that’s not always the outcome. That aside, I like the deterrent aspect of this but I also wonder how much this invites attention from would be thieves. 😂

Me for strength, I would make it 2 boxes not 1. The main glove hopefully getting bigger & the speaker enclosure box 2nd box 2nd latch.

How bad does the box rattle? How bad do the contents rattle inside of it? Could use a rubberized coating on at least the inside. ..

All that stuff from your glove box (non-valuable) should move into Molle pouches to hang on your bartact seat covers.

It looks as if the bottom right sticks out at a point and might dig into the passanger's leg while getting in. Do not look like it has very good fit and finish.

@ diff firms hve rear locker for cargo but not sure if both sell replacement glove box. U want it u got it your glove box can b standard equipment on ppl car wrangler & Gladiator God approved silver package & up.

Wow I missed the under seat & center console lockers. Yeah same thing only Gold package gets u under seat & center console. Again the rear is the star & gold should come w/all 4 lockers factory.
